"Yes.  That would do nicely.  Safety in number, right?"  His eye crinkles as he smiled behind his mask.  the door to the room clicked as it unlocked, and slid open.  The lights in the hallway were out, save for the red emergency lighting.  "Take a left, then a right, then a left.  Middle switch."

Lucy nodded and set off cautiously, the Fang she'd just been given in her right hand.

"Good advice," Cyrus said, ripping the keycard out before getting up and sprinting down the hallway, continuing to glance upwards and check for any sign of whatever infested demon that thing from earlier was.

He huffed and puffed as he ran, his limbs starting to ache a bit. "I... really need to get... to... room..." he wheezed to himself, "...limbs not used... to this much strain without assistance." He paused to catch his breath, leaning against the wall, and took in his surroundings. The Supra in his arms, while likely a large contributor to his tiredness, also provided a familiar, comforting glow.

The hallways now had some light, and the only signs of life are the occasional crawler shuffling along.  The door to the left is open, and surprisingly clean.  The door further ahead is also open, but the lights are out.

With the lemmings on their march keeping the Warframe occupied, Drei frantically glanced around the room for any other exits that would allow him to avoid his pursuer. This trippy place couldn't be real, it definitely wasn't anywhere on the ship's layout map. But here he was, and with increasing desperation he knew he had to get out. There was only so long that he could run for.

The door in the front of the classroom is open, with a small fire lining the doorway.  The people continue their chant, with significantly less of them remaining.  On the whiteboard is written in what appears to be blood, 'Hail the bringer of Death, his Servant grants peace.'

The odd warping lights fade out to the harsh white and red of the ship's lights.  The doors are all partly open, until the last one.  The last door is shredded open; the sharp, jagged edges seem to have been sharpened.  The edges taper into seeming nothingness, an expert job.  Behind it a few wires spark, some dangerously close to the door.

Wewlad, she thought as she approached the door.  Okay, what would Richard do?

She hadn't brought a light source or an insulator.  Oops.

Crawlers were slow, and relatively easy to kill... but also an investment of sound. He'd rather not draw attention to himself with... whatever the void that thing had been. Deftly avoiding contact with any of the small Infested annoyances, Cyrus tip toed towards the door ahead, without lights. He was trusting his instincts on this one, but he really should find a proper map to locate the quarters.

A man poke his head through the door, shriveled down, looking more like a mummy than a person.  "Who?"  He rasped, long and sharp, before reaching through, hand ready to grab.  Much of his bone was sticking through, as if he had been eating himself for a while.

The room is pitch black, with only the glow of his supra providing light.  A glint of eyes can be seen in the corner, someone sitting curled, but watching.  It began to crawl forwards, gurgling as it did so.its leg got caught on some wreckage, but it still strained.

"Hey. Hey, hey! Stop moving!" Cyrus pointed the barrel at the thing. "Can you speak? If you can't, I'm gonna have to kill you."
He stood his ground, looking at the silhouette while nervously trying to stay aware of all his surroundings.

"Friend," she said simply, showing her open hands.  On a sudden thought, she produced the second half of sandwich and held it out to him.

It continued to strain, until a soft ripping sound came from it, and it crawled free of its legs, blood spilling in its wake.  A loud screech echoes through the halls.  Behind the wreckage is a flashing blue light of an active console.

Bringing his friends here, probably. Cyrus grunted as he flipped his heavy weapon around, slamming the stock into the side of its head, knocking it aside with a spray of blood.

He moved quickly, adrenaline surging once again as he listened to the screech, reminding him of whatever terrible monster had found him earlier. He'd rather not see it again. He reached the console and observed it.

Drei wasn't quite sure on whether the Dex Warframe was supposed to be 'Death' or his 'Servant'. Both were equally doubtful, since one supposedly sported a hood while the other had a blade that didn't actually look like it'd bring peace to Drei, who would much rather be dying on his own terms if it came to it. Not like he was going to hail and roll out a carpet for it either way.

Backing through the door as quickly as he could to avoid getting his jumpsuit singed, Drei moved to peer frantically around for yet another escape, a room he hadn't tried and hopefully didn't contain a four-armed Infested Ancient holding a three-handed longsword. Or better, any place that he knew would make sense at actually being on a ship.

Multiple lines of corpus text flash across the screen, all warnings about the life support system.  There is an to restart the systems.  The screeching grows closer.

A door at the end of the hallway is now partially opened, with a dying person on the other side.  The Dex frame finished the last of the starved people, and resumed its slow march towards Drei.  It flicked its wrist, cleaning the nikana's blade of blood, before raising it back up, ready to slice.

Lucy "hmm"ed before trying to find a way to pass through the door unharmed.

There seems to be no way to squeeze through without being sliced, but the jaged hole widens towards the top, just enough for her to squeeze through and remain intact. Loud munching noises can be heard from within.

“Muck,” Cyrus cursed as he slammed the button to restart life support. As soon as he did, he whirled around to look for another hiding place, should he need it.

"Can you open the door?" she called into the room timidly.  "It's scary out here."

The power whirred off, the red emergency lights flashing on. A loud, viscous howl echoes through the halls as the ship quickly cooled. Multiple smaller screeches can be heard, and a glowing ancient walks into thr room, facing away from Cyrus.

The raspy voice spoke back "scary."  As if on cue, the lights shut off. A whirr of electtricity is hear as the red emergency light flashed on, and a siren wailed out from the engine. The man sceamed, and began bashing his head against the door, blood flying eith each hit. He frantically repeated the word "scary," growing louder with each head bang.

as the lights shut off, the frame raised its head, and let out a howl of pure bloodlust. The dark was its element, its feeding grounds. It could only remember one thing from its past life-killing was fun.  So kill it does. It leaped forwards, blades sliding from its wrists, grinning with the barely human mouth it still had.

((Sacrifice spoiler below.

Spoiler

So, I just finished watching the sacrifice quest.  The warframes (Umbra at least) were created from soldiers who were altered by the infestation, and were generally left with just one memory from who they were.  mfw I created the ash umbra without knowing it. lol.

Bloody Void, Cyrus thought. He slowly kneeled down, in an attempt to lower his exposure while also looking for something to help distract the monster.

He could try and use his Supra, but it would likely take up all of his remaining ammo just to kill such a powerful infested creature.
