A door at the end of the hallway is now partially opened, with a dying person on the other side.  The Dex frame finished the last of the starved people, and resumed its slow march towards Drei.  It flicked its wrist, cleaning the nikana's blade of blood, before raising it back up, ready to slice.

Having witnessed several of the Dex's bladestrokes, Drei was now rather familiar with just how far its blade could reach - provided it didn't suddenly decide to produce some sort of energy beam slash... or simply throw its sword at him. Anticipating its next attack, Drei prepared a quick hop out of the way, then making a break for the partially-opened door while the Dex was still recovering from its stroke.

As the dex walked closer, the power shut off.  The emergency lights flashed on, leaving a darkened silhouette of the excalibur, white lights glowing.  It emitted a low growl, and the nikana blade glowed white hot as he channeled void energy into it.  It spoke, its voice metallic and blended. "Run.  So I can be entertained."

He obeyed. Bursting through the doorway, Drei kept a hand on the wall to find his way through the dark, paying the dying body little heed as he went. Without a map, signs or any idea where he was going, he was simply getting increasingly lost. But if that was what it took to delay the inevitable, he had little choice in the matter.

The raspy voice spoke back "scary."  As if on cue, the lights shut off. A whirr of electtricity is hear as the red emergency light flashed on, and a siren wailed out from the engine. The man sceamed, and began bashing his head against the door, blood flying eith each hit. He frantically repeated the word "scary," growing louder with each head bang.

Lucy could only watch in horror as the man continually injured himself against the broken door.

A click is heard behind her, and John raises an arca sisco.  "Move."  His mask is off, and over his right eye is a patch, and burn marks flow from it.  His dark hair is slightly matted, his face angular and stern, and incredibly young.

((Boy, not a lot of action here.))

The dark halls formed a maze, but thankfully most of it was blocked off by wreckage that was now appearing.  The emergency lights flickered, and screeches echoed down the halls, their origins not discernible. Few husks remained, all were laying, sliced in some way.  Many were not in one piece.  Soon, however, an elevator came into sight.  Unblocked, and unbroken, its doors wooshed open.

Bloody Void, Cyrus thought. He slowly kneeled down, in an attempt to lower his exposure while also looking for something to help distract the monster.

He could try and use his Supra, but it would likely take up all of his remaining ammo just to kill such a powerful infested creature.

The ancient just stood there, mandibles flicking around.  After a short while, it turned around and slowly walked out.  A howl erupted from beneath the halls, shaking the floor.  The ancient payed it no mind, however, and continued its slow march out.

His eyes adjusting to the new lighting, Drei bounded down the hallways, nimbly avoiding wreckage. He felt a vague sense of nostalgia, remembering for a few moments as he instinctively avoided twisted bars and shelves of metal as though they were low-hanging branches, while hopping and stretching over loose debris and fallen bodies like tree roots and stones, fully maintaining his momentum.

The elevator before him, in its relatively pristine and unobstructed condition, welcomed him. Throwing what was left of caution to the wind(figuratively speaking, as wind was not quite a natural occurrence within a spaceborne vessel), Drei slipped into its close confines, an outstretched hand slamming into the palm-shaped console. He did not turn around, afraid to look at what was following, content to feel the doors of safety closing behind him.
