No, it literally does not work from the start. Damage taken doesn't change, there's no icon at the top to indicate it's active, hell the only indicator I did anything is the countdown itself.

There it works like this:

  • Target(s) that are CCed become immune to the next hit for 5 seconds if staggered or 2 seconds if knocked down.

i mean that stagger one would be nice if stagger didn't also last about 2 seconds. the problem with infested is that between stun, knockdown and stagger, there are TOO MANY ways for a player to lose control of their character for a duration that just straight up isn't fun and goes beyond the point of difficulty to "oop, S#&$ happened, screw you"
