My rendition of the Grineer Napalm with some liberties.

bmcgrineercosplay.jpgbmcgrineercosplay3.jpg

Additional pic

De facto it cost no money, since all the materials used were already owned. Here is the breakdown of all the materials:

  • Boots
  • Thermal underwear
  • Gloves
  • Sweatpants
  • Down jacket
  • One ceramic dinner plate
  • Vacuum hose with the ... whatever you guys call that stick thing
  • One purple marker(because black ran out)
  • A bunch of plastic bags totaling roughly 2$
  • Transparent scotch tape
  • One sheet of A4 paper

Of all of this only the paper, scotch tape, marker and plastic bags were expended. It's hard to count the price of a single sheet of paper, but if you count the costs of entire packages of the mentioned materials, then I'd say that this costed a total of roughly 13$.

Tutorial:

Spoiler

Step 1: DO NOT draw on your ceramic plate! It will probably never wash out! Instead draw on a piece of paper and tape it to the outer side of the plate.
Step 2: Make a tape ring around your head and tape that ring to the inner side of your plate. You now have the mask.
Step 3: Put sweatpants on top of your thermal underwear. Roll the sweatpants up to your knees and stuff with plastic bags. You now have the iconic Grineer thighs.
Step 4: Roll your down jacket up to your chest. Stuff your shoulders with plastic bags until you get the volume resembling shoulder plates.

Bloody hell, that's awesome. And it cost only $20 to make?

Actually, most are recycled materials XD it doesnt look like that cuz it's covered in rubber foam~ I calculate around $10-$15 only.

Here's my "budget Wukong" costume!

My goal and challenge I set for myself was not to try not to use "ready made" materials like a morph suit or paint, but items that were seen as recycled or cheap that are household items everyone has. Anyone can use paint to match a specific pattern, so I tried to pick items that already resembled him (like the priority mail boxes having the red lines already). I didn't want to just use a black shirt with blue painted lines so I made my costume from scratch out of everyday items instead of going for pinpoint accuracy to keep with the spirit of the "budget costume" theme :satisfied:

------------------------------------------

Materials Used:

  • 2 black trash bags
  • Tape (black and blue duct tape, clear packaging tape)
  • 3 cardboard "priority mail" boxes (1 poster box and 2 regular boxes)
  • 4 sheets of printer paper
  • 2 paper cups
  • Aluminum foil trays (1 grill topper and 2 cookie trays)
  • 2 ribbon things
  • 4 plastic bags
  • 2 rubber bands
  • 1 paper plate
  • Sharpies (red, black and some light blue for his mask)
  • Black long sleeve shirt with a blue t-shirt on top
  • ...And a broom for his pole xD

All of these materials came from around my house so it was free!

Greetings Tenno! This is my budget entry to the contest: Nekros Prime! Well, ok he's not really primed, or even un-primed for that matter. Nekros Pre-Alpha! All items were currently owned or recycled so budget was a whopping $0.

Material List:

Costume: 1 thick cardboard box, 1 thin cardboard box, 1 old bed sheet (for the cape), 1 bath mat, 1 milk jug, 3 bungee cords, 1 dog cone, 1 pair of disposable gloves, 2 thin tubes (for the finger dangly thing), duct tape, 1 clothes peg, cap/jacket/t-shirt/pants, pencil/permanent markers for the mask and armor detail.

Grakata: 1 old drill, 1 old flashlight with charger, 1 bull clip, 1 toilet paper roll, 1 watering can head, duct tape.

I think that's everything, had a lot of fun working on this! Made some extra bonus footage for fun too:

What Nekros does when he thinks no one is watching.

What Nekros does when he finds out people have been watching.

Best of luck to everyone!

Introducing the Grineer Elite Lancer - super dodgy edition!

Everything used from pre-owned stuff lying around, but here's a breakdown:

  • Generic black pants, shoes & shirt
  • Pajamas shoved down pants to bulk up scrawny legs
  • Gardening gloves - with bonus grass stains!
  • Black jacket
  • Pillow shoved down back of jacket to make 'hump'
  • Cloth costume face mask painted yellow (from old Lemongrab costume)
  • Cheap toy gun (not pictured - 4 annoying noisy fire modes)
  • Plenty of sweat from wearing all of the above in hot weather

Total cost of materials - $0

Total fun had farting this mess together - plenty

Thanks for the laughs DE & other participants, great event & efforts all around! :)

Romantic Corpus Target Cosplay

Base was created by sewing some old clothes together, then i glued cardboard and styrofoam on that, painted and voilà, ready for the Tenno to come (and prabobly leave immediately after seeing this  )

Budget and materials:
Cardboard (Got it from the store for free)

Old clothing I found in the closet (Not really worth anything )

Glue (A lot actually, around 5$)

Paint, (White,Black and a bit of red) (I think that everyone has atleast 2 differend sets of paint somewhere at home so no cost here :V )

Tube from old vacuum i found (No budget here nither, i hope nobody is gonna miss these)

Some flowers and a glass of Void Tears for the decorations that I ,,barrowed,, from Orokin Living Room

1 Romantic Corpus Target (Priceless and also free at the same time)

In the end the only thing that I spended money on was glue

(Total budget: 5$ )

Hope I made it on time :v It's 31th of May and I never could read differend time zones

Bobble head Excalibur here!

I just finished my build, that took me about 4 hours to put together. It was mostly made with materials I had on hand, and I tried to capture that Chibi-drawn "100 days of warframe" parody look. Hope you like it? Anyways, the materials are listed just below;

The materials:

Foam mat- around 9$

Fake leather- had this on hand, but the piece is roughly 4$

Pants- got 'em at second hand for about 2$

 Cardstock paper- around 1$

Old socks- free

Old gloves- free

Two markers- 1$

Thick cardboard (for skana and mask)- 0.5$

Total- 17.5$

Well unfortunately this contest ran right through finals so I didn't have enough time. Heres as far as I got on an atlas costume:

helmet_by_saberpeep-dbb3mcz.jpg

untitled_by_saberpeep-dbb3n8z.jpg

untitled_by_saberpeep-dbb3n8q.jpg

Made from recycled cardboard boxes, (also a few sheets of paper for the cutting templates if that counts)

The box was shipped to me from some product I bought so it's basically free, but it probably would have come to ~$8

So this is my attempt at a Budget costume solution

I present Loki, the deciever.

AMh7lkt.jpg

More pictures:

Spoiler

LNaaIZU.jpg

UDKDNqY.jpg

RPvPOja.jpg

Since Loki_Speight and I are married, live together and produced a Dethcube together,

we also share the same material pool, meaning that all of the materials where also lying arround the house already ( we like to build stuff)

Here's the breakdown for the materials:

- Cheap yoga matt 6€

- 2 Sticks of hotglue 1€

-Acrylic paints - Already lying arround the house

-Double sided Tape 5€

-Duct Tape - LOTS OF IT, but cheap 2€

-Back Hoodie - already owned

-2 black Sweaters -already owned

-Camouflage caro Pants - already owned

-pair of gloves - already owned

- Bolto pistol - 20k Credits, 1 Lato, 800 Polymerbundles, 2 orokin cells and 2 Neurodes, but luckily my wife built it already 2 years ago for the Halloween contest

- Corpus Trophy - I built that one 2 years ago for the Halloween contest

So construction wise I cut up the Yoga Matt into convinient Loki-shaped pieces and glued them together with loads of Hotglue.

The arm pieces were cut out and blasted with a blowdryer to mold them into shape. Afterwards I painted it all with Acrylics.

The rest then was assembled with duct tape and doublesided tape to look somewhat not offputting.

I hope you enjoy it and have lots of fun!

Good luck everyone!

Here's my entry! I recently started playing again and I finally got Zephyr. :D I'm addicted to divebombing now. I love the Monsoon helmet!

Mjp6Xxm.jpg

jugCyMU.jpg

Ng8xwzh.jpg

However, I suck at taping cardboard.

WXJnSK4.jpg

All the stuff I used (aside from my shoes and black long johns) was my dad's old cycling gear (plus his racing gloves)!

Materials:

Cycling helmet

Cycling jersey

Cycling thermal vest

Cycling armwarmers

Car racing gloves

Duster jacket for tablet (aka the hood on my head)

Spare water bottle holders

Cardboard

White acrylic paint

Black acrylic paint

Electrical tape

(Fun fact: when I was taking these pics, a police helicopter started circling the roof. I don't blame them; if I saw that monstrosity on my roof I'd be freaked out too. XD)
