To DE's animation staff ... You have really done an amazing job for this stance, it's impressiv, useful and ... it LOOKS COOL. I felt making another thread just to say it, when a good work is done, it must be noticed and applaud. GOOD JOB ! I expect more thing like that of course (as a gamer), but as a normal person, real good job, i'm having fun ^^.

Oh phew I thought this thread was gonna be a sarcastic "DE you are trash" hate-thread, glad to see it isn't. 

Is the stance enough to save some of the better machetes? I've seen that it replaces the horrible offhand attack, but is it good enough other than that?

It looks really amazing! If only I actually had a machete... Too bad I'm saving my last available weapon slot atm for my rakta cernos (only 15,000 or so standing to go!!!)

That's what i've been saying yesterday after getting my hands on it, also those combo bonuses make it pretty dope actually and can be compared easily imo to what crimson dervish does for broken war.

Well, I'm glad someone likes it.

I mean, aesthetically, to me it doesn't feel like you are chopping with a machete, but rather flailing around some weighted rope. The grip is too "loose"?

But each to their own I guess?

It has knockdowns in combos which in many cases causes it to miss with follow-up attacks. It also doesn't have a combo that opens up enemies to a finisher.
It's an improvement to machetes but you won't be seeing melee players using it machetes seriously because of it.

I would prefer it to be as fast as shown in the devstream. Now it is kind of slow.

Take your chance to buy the Mechete from the market, limited time weapon so it's' rare. Trash weapon, but rare and mastery points.

There's lots more machete weapons than just the Machete.

1. Machete
2. Machete Wraith
3. Prova
4. Prova Vandal
5. Kama
6. Gazal Machete
7. Nami Solo

Pick a favorite, all of 'em have unairu stance slots.

From what i have found,

 

Machete (not viable, time limited butter knife)

Machete Wraith (fancy butter knife, dont have it to test, but seems like it will be middle of the road, only worth it for true endgame)

Prova (a zappy stick, not great)

Prova Vandal (actually decent now if built right)

Kama (Nope)

Gazal Machete (Quite good actually, possibly the best)

Nami Solo (also good, pref with the standard crit build)
