Umbra is not like a Prime, according to mass hysteria and gossip so there is a good to middling chance you'll still need your normal frame in conjuction with Umbra anyway. Just forma and potato it, its silly to save a few forma when you can just farm more later if you really want to use the frame don't wait. I've only done that a few times and that was because I lacked a potato for a frame and the Prime was coming soon. If you've already put a reactor in excal, then its worth a couple forma at least.
