Loobiz Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 What you need is status chance, if you kill an enemy with slash status on you will slice him! Of ourse you will also need damage to kill it. Some times is good to not have to many damage types other than slash, like fire, cause if you proc fire then they will burn to a crisp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Azure.Fang Posted June 3, 2017 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Orthos Prime modded for additional speed and using only quick melee is a close area blender, usually chopping 1-2 limbs off after kill but before Desecrate can proc. MOST weapons with a plurality (highest of the numbers) of their IPS being slash will have a high chance to gib a target. You can get weapons like the Karak or the Grakata or AKStiletto to gib like a slash weapon for example if you install the Fanged Fusillade/Maim mods onto them, and they're primarily impact based. Gotta eat a mod slot and points for a negligible increase in damage though, so it's more a vanity benefit than a practical one. But hey, you don't need level 100 DPS capability if you're planning on mauling level 20-30's. Status proccing slash on kill doesn't gib anything by the way. That's a poorly misinterpreted connection that was taken up as gospel by the masses when it's pretty much dead wrong. I doubt anyone's ever seen their1 Grakata or Lex split a Grineer into multiple pieces. Punch holes into them or sever a limb, sure, but not shred them. 1: Enemy Grakatas can shred their own dead to pieces though, but that's because they use different damage values.
