Raptor still not droping anything...please fix Where are you killing him in the level? why does everyone think the raptor is broken The data suggests his drops are the same as other bosses, however, if his drops fall off the edge of the map his drops will respawn near his spawn point in the middle of the boss arena. IngridMello Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 The hologram in the arm, which was supposed to be just the logo of the clan, has a cyan background, which shouldn't be there because I made the picture with a transparent background. Was just in a team of four on Earth - Lith defense, and my entire team died from hp loss before the first wave even hit. Does DE not test hot-fixes, or what? So that there will be more mobs to kill and less people complaining about it. It is called nightmare mode, so it should be kinda of a nightmare when your in it. Another hotfix is coming tonight for his fleeing ways. I farmed the Raptor over the weekend before 9.1.1 and was able to obtain all the Nova BPs. Therefore, I also believe that his drops are the same as other bosses, though there are many times where he drops nothing at all. No materials and/or a Mod. I can't say whether his drops are better now with 9.1.2 out. But if I can spend 8 hours farming Tyl Regor for 1 Ash Systems BP, I'd say the Raptor is not broken. And that it's all down to Random Number Generator. Saturday night I heard people saying that they got all Nova parts in 3 runs. :S It probably took me about 30-40 runs. In that space of time the drops were pretty evenly spaced. Some people get lucky, and some don't. Therefore, the problem is the RNG. I'm no software specialist and this in itself is hard concept to wrap my head around. That said, I don't think it's easy for the specialists themselves either given the amount of materials and resources in game and the specific kind of drop rates that each resource/material should have. People should understand that fixing that is a hard task and should display a bit more patience. (e.g. look at the last post in the 9.1 thread) =\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That being said. Thank you and all DE staff for the hotfixes that were released. I'm very happy that the new UI for the foundry is back. It feels refreshing and more organized, and that the loadout appears on screen; something that was not included in the actual update. The drop rate appears to have returned to normal. This said, I doubt people should complain about morphics/control mods/neural sensors/neurodes/gallium for a while, since the rates were reversed over the weekend, up until 9.1.1 came out. It won't surprise me if people do begin to complain about them soon though. Hearfelt thanks to you people who make this awesome game, more awesome.
