Idea for Conclave rework

  • make all players their operators, then we have a reason to fashion them up and make them good.

  • focus tree determines your passives. instead of void beams we get guns, otherwise all powers can work the same as when you are in operator mode. really like it if old school wall running was added for operator though. can void dash instead of bulletjump, can crouch and go invis for stealth tactics. can maybe change void blast to a void shield or somthing similar. all of these would drain energy so they cant be abused and you would have to wait for energy regen like in main game.

  • this would allow more game modes like a stealth based capture the flag or a one vs all type where its a squad of operators vs one player controlling a beast like in the war within quest. would also hopefully be incentive to polish up the operator system a bit. could also be a way for you to strengthen your operator for maingame use as its pretty weak for now

  • each kill or objective completion grants a temporary random buff. I.E. increase damage, armor, instant heal, overshields, etc

  • playing through conclave could allow you unlock guns and mods for conclave mode, no shared inventory between this and main game. each round grants you conclave points that are used to purchase skins for both conclave and main game, can purchase certain frames and main game mods as now, can purchase boosters/ mod packs/ relic packs/ etc.

  • monthly round robin style tournament that people sign up for and one lucky winner gets a free prime access. can do the same for any special things that come up like a tennogen pack or cosmetic pack or something when prime access isnt around. would draw interest and since its just one prize a month wouldnt cut into DE's profits practically at all

  • can hold clan vs clan tournaments whenever you want and have each clan wager something like a certain amount of resources or credits or even plat etc. maybe even have a freebie tournament setup where you wager conclave points, or the winning clan gets control of the other sides dark sector or something of the kind (if they ever bring that back)

lore wise it would be like tenno training, fight night, and olympics rolled into one. has to be some form of entertainment for off-duty hours.

Stopping reading right here because it became obvious that this thread isn't about a "Conclave rework".
This thread is a diary entry about "this cool new game I thought up" that happens to be vaguely Warframe-themed.

Let's get this moved to Fan Concepts, eh?

not really a new game. using existing assets to rework, not just tweak, a failing game mode to make it actually something people may want to endeavor to get into. as it is very few people (compared to the total player base) even bother doing conclave more than a few matches to try it out. the rewards arent really worth it currently, its not fun except to a small segment of the community because the current movement system is not suited to a pvp environment, and having different abilities, stats, and modding requirements for pvp and the main game even with the same frame make it something that people want to avoid. the changes im proposing are there to change that perception by simplifying it as well as making it more balanced and more entertaining for a wide demographic, while also trying to tie it into known entities and events from the main game.

I'm sure that a PvP mode is what everyone needs in order to feel like they're making use of their operators.

Obviously they are. The only reason there are fewer people boosting each other and farming for skins is because they've already gotten all the ones they wanted by now.

No it's not. PvE balancing is no balancing.
Obviously a competitive PvP environment wants to avoid "PvE balancing".
Conclave would be grossly broken if it used abilities/stats/mods directly from PvE.

PvE uses Warframes 99% of the time and operators 1% of the time.
Conclave uses Warframes 100% of the time.
You want Conclave to use operators 100% of the time because that would "tie it into known entities".
100% of this makes 0% sense.
