its stupid then.. Chinese exclusive is Excalibur Umbra Prime.. this will be only Excalibur Umbra.. Umbra is just variant same as vandal for weapons

DE didn't do anything scummy here, it was all agreed on with the Chinese publisher. It is exclusive to those who purchased it within the chinese region as Excalibur Umbra Prime while global is getting Excalibur Umbra as a quest reward.

Given you don't have Umbra. Nor Excalibur Prime. And the new warframe most likely isn't Umbra. I don't see how that's a loss. 😄

"With Excalibur Prime on Founders lockdown in the Global build, we were tasked to create a version of Excalibur Prime for the China PC build...but it had to be different. Our Prime Warframes varied in Light and Dark colour schemes, so Mynki thought a dark version of Excalibur Prime would be cool. At the time, we were also working on PBR and newer cloth physics, and Umbra was an early test of that with extra shiny trim and a flowing syandana. The result was Excalibur Umbra. However...the concept for Umbra's design is not nearly as intriguing as our plans for it in the future. - Dave, Producer!"

Sounds very much like they're not intending to bring it back and instead aim to make something new. 

 

Hopefully it'll be a unique aesthetic and not copy Excal Prime so directly.

On the international forums, there has been a discussion led by Rebecca with regards to the Chinese warframe. This discussion has lead to confusion over what the Umbra Excalibur, Nikana, etc etc. Therefore, we have had a discussion with DE in that effect.

As Rebecca has mentioned, we will be release a series of Umbra warframes (not skins), it is possible that there will be an umbra Excalibur as the first of the umbra series however the "Originator's" (which means founder) umbra Excalibur prime will not be commonly available. The Umbra Excalibur Prime is an exclusive warframe developed by DE for the Chinese version of warframe and is only available to "Originators". This warframe will not appear in game to purchase under the market nor will it drop in game. We (Changyou) and DE has finalized and agreed on this and will not be changing our position on this.

In other developments, the Prime (samurai blade or Nikana) and Prime (drill/screw Kunai) will not be on sale in the market and neither will it drop for China warframe players. These weapon are also exclusive to China warfame "Originators".On the international side however, these weapons will be released under an unknown format (might be event? market? Prime Access or anything that DE can think up of) after China warframe's Originator's pack sale have concluded

  mhm... might want to read the OP  as you see very outdated?

as it stands china frame and warframe are not the same game  its almost  a fun-house mirror as they do have differences in builds

as it stands nikana and spiria primes are in global already [via saryn p access] 

per de excalibur umbra is coming to the global via its own quest the sacrifice 

excalibur umbra is visually identical to excalibur umbra prime [stararmor] but that dosnt mean they are the same mechanically 

and if my suspicions about this quest are confirmed they get another frame

If "vlad " was coming with the sacrifice , they would of used him for the trailer, Not umbra, DE wouldn't of added the extra Umbra hype for no reason.

no need to tell that the original concept/artwork may be even older but they already said that a "quest [for Vlad] is unlikely".

also he was in early stages of WIP aswell, another point to why he won't make an appearance.

edit: oh and the 3rd point is that the script screen Steve showed a while back was "v2.3" so that makes it even more unlikely for Vlad to arrive.

what my thoughts on vlad

 

remember nidus is called master by helmith 

and nidus is the official infested frame 

if revant/vlad is official sentient frame 

then these might have been initial trial stages at combining the two techs

Yes, May 29th 2017, first sacrifice trailer was Jul 10, 2017, and teased a month earlier.

He's now completed, and running around ingame as per the latest devstream just in time for a large update...Hm... Interesting timing.

He doesn't even have a name yet, he has a codename. He also doesn't have icons for his powers, barely has idle animations and he's confirmed to still be a work in progress.

"Complete" is not the word I'd use. Running around in game isn't 'complete'. Khora was running around in a much more complete state back in 2017. Not to mention that 'Vlad' has nothing to do with the Sacrifice, since they said "We are not going to say anything else on devstream about the Sacrifice until it's out.". New frame was talked about on devstream. Ergo, if he was part of the Sacrifice, they would not have talked about him, certainly not in such a casual way.

Okay, what do we know about the Umbra rework?

The skin we've seen is Umbra Prime, which we aren't getting. So, it's not that.

Do we know his abilities? Have we see his non-primed skin?... Anything?
