Of course we haven't. They aren't revealing info short of "You're getting Umbra". If Umbra was separate to sacrifice, we'd have seen him already on a devstream, wouldn't we?

So, not knowing anything about Umbra's rework is proof that he's coming, but, seeing that Vlad is incomplete is proof he's not?

Digital Extremes has disclosed that Excalibur Umbra is to be the first of the "Umbra" Warframe variants. He is to come with its own unique system of acquisition, as a means to make Excalibur Umbra's release special. During Devstream 72, Rebecca Ford compared revealing information about Excalibur Umbra prior to his release to revealing information about The Second Dream, potentially spoiling their intended result.

Like the Prime Warframes before him, Excalibur Umbra will be an entirely separate Warframe, and is presumed to have its own stats and polarities separate from either Excalibur or Excalibur Prime. Excalibur Umbra will also be a "global upgrade" to Excalibur, as opposed to being limited for a period of time.

Excalibur Umbra will be the first Umbra variant of a warframe to be released in WARFRAME.

In the Chinese Build, Excalibur Umbra originated as part of their Founder's pack exclusive, named as Excalibur Umbra Prime. The pack also included the Nikana Prime and the Spira Prime (both of which were introduced in the Global Build with Saryn Prime instead), as well as the Gauvan Prime Sekhara, a shoulder accessory obtainable only through that Founder pack.

First of all, they talked about just shipping "Vlad" without a quest and that he's still a long way from being shipped. Second of all, why is he not appearing in the first trailer, why is Umbra Excalibur? Third of all, they said that they want to do something different with Umbra Excalibur so he may have altered abilities or at least effects. Fourth, you're crying about a digital item that has some resemblance to your so dear Founder Excalibur Prime.

A fair point. We'll have to wait and see. But, personally, I imagine they'll bend the rules in this case, given how long we've waited for this look specifically.

1. They talk about a lot of things to be fair.

2. He's not in the first trailer because he was a drawing at that point. Added to that, things change. It was a while ago. Him being in the trailer does not therefore mean he is a playable character. He could be an NPC. 

3. They did, and we've no evidence of it. 

4. Founders exclusive are exclusive and should stay that way.The same argument could be made about all those who desperately pine after it.

i think that there will be a lot an angry chinaman if that is the case... "Warframe China PS4 has been discontinued on July 24, 2017,[1][2] while the PC version remained in service." also i think that DE has the same exclusivity agreement that they have with the excalibur umbra prime that do with our excalibur prime.

The argument "He was in the trailer!!!" Falls flat, we already know we are not getting that version of Umbra Prime, and that's what was shown in the trailer.

2. They wouldn't have kept the whole Sacrifice idea and went with something different, announcing this change as well.

3. Why would they lie, there's no reason to do so.

4. It has nothing to do with Founders or Originators, at this point one could argue that normal Excalibur should be an exclusive given his resemblance to Excalibur Prime.

We still got Nikana Prime and Spira Prime as you said, so evidently what a founder item is to them doesn't have the same weight in our version as our founder items.

DE stated that they won't add him as it is but alter him in some way or another, thus creating another variant. Also, they are separate from us, we don't have access to them, they don't have access to us (excluding the possibility to start a new account to access the other "game")

DE is very human, they change their mind on things.Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

3. It's not a lie. They've said Umbra will be different. And we aren't getting Umbra Prime.

Excalibur Umbra will be 'Virtually Identical' to Umbra Prime, confirmed even in the past.

1. DE stated that it will come with the only big update before Tennocon, It was stated twice by Steve, Reb confirmed that it will be in June and so did the teaser.

2. They're almost done with it, they would have announced till today, given how anticipated Excalibur Umbra is, they even released an image with Excalibur Umbra with the title The Sacrifice in the middle.

3. No one said that we're getting Umbra Prime, that's the whole point, i'm starting to think that you really are delusional. We'll get a variant that's similar to Excalibur Umbra Prime, we have yet to see how similar.

4. It's still not the same thing as Umbra Prime, not to mention that we're talking about 2 different Warframe games at this point.

Hopefully it'll be a unique aesthetic and not copy Excal Prime so directly. 

DE and Chinaframe have an agreement on how Excalibur Umbra should be released in global build, this was said many times for years here, Chinaframe allowed it to be released but it should not be adquired as a drop (aka farming) nor as a sold item (like primes) but to be adquiredd in a new way, it was not ever stated that it should never be released or Non-playable,

On the end of the day, people expect to play it and get Excal Umbra as a reward (probably fully built OR maybe as the quest tittle says The Sacrifice, it can be related on how to adquire Excal Umbra.

That was the only thing on their agreement, that we should had a new way of adquiring it.

 

Adding more that what you have quoted, by only this line "you can tint the way you want" can also means it's not a NPC.

Still they know what players are expecting, and i bet that the major plot will probably be how you adquire it.

The code is “Old Friend” and the tea set apparently belonged to a mystery Dax. Probably the same mystery Dax mentioned in the early The War Within script.
