A mantis lazily pulled up alongside the ship, pausing a moment before pulling in to an empty spot.

Out stepped a slightly worn-looking frost, glancing around before seeing the limbo and approaching.

"This is more than a little bit out of my usual jurisdiction, but I was in the area. Are you still looking for assistance?"

The Limbo turned around from a crate of weapons he was inspecting. He looked at the Frost carefully before responding.

"Why, yes. We could indeed use more aid." The Limbo said. "What would you consider to be your area of expertise?" He asked, as he closed the crate and gave it to a passing Perrin Sequence operative.

Elm eyed the pod, before turning back to the operative.

"But the employer's at least friendly, right?" he questioned.

"Wouldn't be a good idea to move an unknown filled pod from an unknown source now, wouldn't it?"

"I wouldn't consider him 'friendly'. He tends to give orders, and not much else." The Operative noted, walking over to an elevator. "He says to leave the pod alone, we leave the pod alone. I don't know what messed up Tenno stuff is in there."

Several operatives began lifting the pod into a heavily reinforced crate, with at least 2 inches of armor plating.

"Then if he ain't exactly friendly, then why do you still take orders from him then? For the pay? For something to do?"

((Sorry if my posts do seem generally short atm. I'll see if I can make bigger posts later on. Plus I got up at 5:30am for some reason, literally getting five and a half hours sleep, but i'll try and make better posts as the rp goes on.))

"Well, generally on-planet missions are more my thing, but I've done my share of escort missions, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't good at improvising under pressure."

He watched the operatives going about their various tasks around him. "Though, with all this prep, I don't know whether to expect more or less pressure than usual."

"The pay is great." The Operative said. "Don't ask me where he got all of those credits, though." The elevator began moving down. "Anyway, the cargo bay isn't too much further."

The Operative thought for a moment before asking Elm a question.

"Are you here for the pay, too?"

"Probably low pressure, if things go well." The Limbo said. "If you're a quick thinker, I could actually use you on the Bridge. Most of these operatives lack a certain degree of creativity in their tactical decisions."

The Limbo was handed another datapad, which he read for a moment, before handing it back to the operative that gave it to him.

"Use Jupiter and Europa for a gravity assist. We can be there far ahead of schedule if we do so."

"Sounds like a good idea to me. Consider me already there."

He gave a nod and turned, heading for the bridge of the ship. There was a slight bit of hesitation to his walk at the mention of Jupiter and Europa - again, far outside his usual area of operation - but it quickly disappeared as the white-and-orange frost headed for the bridge.

"I suppose that's comforting." The Operative said, as he left the elevator. "The cargo bay is at the end of this corridor."

The Operative continued walking, pulling out a braton.

The Bridge was far more crowded than the hangar. People were running around, moving between various consoles. One operative standing at the far side of the ship's Bridge noticed the Frost, and watched him closely.

Arriving at the bridge, the frost took a look around at the commotion, taking stock of all that was going on. Noticing the operative watching him, gave a nod and approached. "Don't worry, I know I'm wearing Meridian colors, but I'm a friendly. I've been assigned to help out on the bridge."

He looked around again, stepping aside to make room for someone passing before returning to his spot. "Anything specific you need an extra hand on?"

(I would recommend that you introduce the majority of your OCs you plan on using. before I close the RP and kick off the real RP.)

((This is the only OC I plan on bringing.))

"Uh... at the moment..." the operative said as he looked around. "Most of them are coordinating the freighters. As for you... We need someone monitoring security systems right now."

(I swear this will get exciting soon. This is still mostly setup.)

Elm continues to follow the operative, looking at other operatives as he moves

"Understood, that I can do." He approached the console for the security systems and began to re-familiarize himself with the controls, running a full 'shotgun' - checking for anything out of the ordinary but not actively searching for something specific. He was glad not to be on the business end of these systems, given how advanced they were compared to the halfhearted setups in grineer outposts.

There wasn't anything much happening out of the ordinary. The only strange thing was a large metal box being escorted by about 10 operatives, all looking around nervously. They each had bratons pointed at the box, obviously shaking slightly.

The other operatives look at Elm quite a bit, clearly surprised by the presence of a Tenno. The Operative leading Elm walked through a do at the end of a corridor, and ended up in an open, massive room full of boxes and crates.

(It looks like if the Corpus built a warehouse and put it in a ship)

((ENHANCE!)) Frost selected the cameras in the area, focusing on the box, getting as many angles on it as possible, racking his brain for any time he might have seen such a curious object before. Then again, it was rarely the box. Boxes could look like anything, it's what's inside that's important.
He considered asking his ship cephalon to do a history search, but knew before he finished the thought that all Vilkas would give him was a sassy response.
A tiny puff of mist resembling a small sigh emerged from the front of his helmet as he settled into monitoring the box alongside the main systems.

From all directions, it was clear the box was heavily reinforced. The exterior was covered in various locks. It was clear this was a box not intended to be opened by anyone without authorization. The box slowly moved in the direction of the cargo bay.

Frost attempted to contact the limbo over the comms. "Question for ya: are we trying to protect something, or keep it from getting out?"
He was never a fan of super secretive assignments like this one, but the pay still - hopefully - made it worth it.

"What are you referring to?" The Limbo replied.

An operative walked over to the Frost, and looked at the display showing the box.

"Y'know, I was wondering what was in there." He said. "That Tenno told some people to take it to the cargo bay and guard it carefully. I've got no idea whatever in there, though. Seems a little out of place with all of the food and supplies in the cargo bay that we're supposedly taking to the Pluto relay."

"The big sketchy box." Frost nodded to the operative. "Some is certainly an understatement. 10 people, armed...nervous looking, even."

"Not a huge fan of not getting all the info. I'm assuming this is above my pay grade?"

"Looks like this stuff if above the pay grade of a Corpus executive." He responded. "I don't trust this guy, personally. Still, the money is nice." He looked at the display again.

"Wait... try switching to thermal." He said.

"thermal....thermal...." He scanned the options on the screen in front of him. "Yep, here we go."

Selecting the desired option, he waited curiously for the results of the scan, unsure of what would appear. Nothing? A humanoid shape? Some kind of weapon?

"With all this money changing hands, I'm a bit surprised nobody's taking bets about what's inside." He mused.

"Everything the relay needs. Food, water, alloys, and various other items. I don't know why the boss hired us to do this now, considering they received an actual shipment three weeks ago." The Operative noted. "Seems a bit pointless."

The Operative turned and looked at Elm.

"Hey, do you have a name?" He asked.

"We have, but we try to be discrete about it." He replied as the thermal scans showed up on the display. There was a humanoid shape, barely showing up. It was likely the humanoid was in a cryopod. Surrounding him, however, was a constantly-shifting blob of red, almost definitely a lifeform.

"Oh... Oh, dear Higby... Is that Infested?" He asked.

"Ah, discrete. Shoulda guessed." He watched in anticipation. "....ah. Well, if it isn't Infested, it's something else equally unpleasant." He crossed his arms. "And mushy. Well, that explains the locks. And also the heavy escort."

"Well, we have a couple options here. We could prepare for the risk of something mushy and possibly sentient getting the upper hand, or proceed as planned and risk containment issues for the sake of a number of credits with a loooooooot of zeroes on the end."

"The money is tempting, but so is living..." The operative mumbled. "Well... there is clearly a lot of effort being put into security... Meh, we're probably fine."

A moment later, an announcement came over the intercom.

"Departure in one hour. I repeat, departure in one hour."
