"Hopefully not to much further... Even with Tarnas in stasis, it feels like He's staring at us." Chegar said quietly, still staring at the rouge tenno.

"I think I got all the infested tissue before anything spread, but I'm definitely not combat-ready at the moment." he said.

Chegar leapt into the room just behind Ebony. He briefly surveyed the room. "Clogori, Please tell me you have something to stow the monster inside of." he said, eyes now locked on Tarnas. "The last thing I want is him watching us while were trying to make plans."

(So, Leveret is... combat ready?)

The crew quarters was a mostly-blank room, with bunks placed wherever there's room. A few crewmen walk around, and a couple are asleep in beds. However, it would seem that most of the beds have been stripped of sheets and pillows, and some of them simply don't have mattresses at all. It's currently unclear where they went exactly. This room was quite a bit warmer than the Bridge was (then again, the -30 celsius temperatures at my house might be warmer than that).

Clogori walked around for a moment, still carrying Tarnas. He found a door labeled "Storage" and walked through it, the door sliding shut behind him. The crewmen who had just arrived from the Bridge were trying to find bunks that still had sheets and mattresses.

Ebony held the door open, shooting Clorogi a look. The effect was somewhat ruined due to her helmet's expressionless features.

(Well, to be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Ebony's jokes)

Clogori walked back out of the storage room, facing the group.

"I got Tarnas tied up and blindfolded in there." Clogori said calmly. "Now, I guess I promised all of you an explanation, didn't I?" He walked back into the storage room, gesturing for the three Tenno and Celeste to follow him. He seemed awfully calm, all things considered.

Efahz and the other newcomers were each trying to find bunks that still had blankets and matresses, a couple arguments breaking out among them. Even a couple of fistfights. They were all desperate to get even a few hours of sleep at this point, and most of them were now beyond rational thought.

"Typically the villain monologues after he thinks he has the hero contained." Ebony thought, never letting her guard down. She still followed him in, albeit reluctantly.

Chegar lagged slightly behind the others, carefully watching the Limbo. His hand loomed over the grip of his nikana; even after everything Clogori had tried to explain before, he felt more at ease standing near Tarnas than following this Tenno.

The crewmen stopped fighting physically, but a few more arguments broke out over who got dibs on the beds. Leveret's response did diffuse a few situations, though.

The storage room had clearly been raised for supplies already. The reasonably large room had shelves on either wall, which would be normally filled with various containers. Most of these containers were gone, though, with a couple empty boxes lying on the ground. Besides Clogori and the rest of the protagonists, Tarnas was tied to something that looked oddly like a folding chair in a corner, blindfold covering his eyes. He was completely still, breathing lightly. He looked harmless like this, as a child, unlike the imposing form of his Loki.

Clogori turned around to face the group, the door closing behind Chegar when he walked in. He leaned against the far wall, looking rather nonchalant. He merely looked at the group for a moment before speaking.

"Alright... you probably have a truly monumental amount of questions." Clogori said. "I'll try and answer them best I can." His previously calm facade gave away, and he sounded genuinely exhausted.

(Finally, someone appreciates how dapper Clogori is.)

"Yeah, alright, let's start with why the f-ck we shouldn't just kill the little sh!t right here." Leveret said sharply, pointing at Tarnas. "We need off this frozen rock, and the main thing stopping us is that brat."

"Tarnas... must be kept alive. He's the whole reason I went through the trouble of getting this ship." Clogori said. "Tarnas represents the next logical evolution of the Tenno as warriors. Never before has the Infested been so closely linked to a Tenno. He's become one of the most efficient killing machines I've ever seen thanks to it."

"I recently tracked down and collected Tarnas on Mars, planning to take him to my laboratory on Pluto. Since my ship had been critically damaged doing so, and I needed plenty of security, I needed another ship. Luckily, Perrin Sequence operatives had recently taken an understaffed Corpus cruiser nearby, and I have a number of contacts in Perrin. After some negotiation and plenty of credits, I borrowed the ship under the promise that I would return it once my mission was done." Clogori explained. "I loaded Tarnas in, hiding him among the cargo, and hired some mercenaries to ensure things went smoothly."

"I went through all of this trouble to keep Tarnas safe. Why would I just kill him?" Clogori finished, waiting for another question.

(This is totally just an exposition dump.)

Instead of waiting for another question, Clogori continued. He seemed very forthcoming with information now.

"I... should probably give you some context." Clogori remarked, giving a short sigh before continuing. "Tarnas was one of many test subjects involved in what I consider to be my life's work, also known as Project 'Telos'. I've been trying to meld Tenno and Infested to a previously impossible level. Hypothetically, not only would the strain be forced to rapidly evolve into something extremely fast-spreading and tough to survive the hostile environments of a Tenno ship and whatnot, but it's constant presence would allow it to form a bond with the subject."

Clogori removed his hat (Because Limbos can just do that) and started fidgeting with it while he spoke. After a pause, he continued.

"The hypothetical end-game is to replace all of a subject's Warframe with one that can handle Infested well, such as a Nidus. Now, this should result in a warrior that can fight uninhibited by injury pain, with the Infested influence altering their preception of that sensation, as you saw from Tarnas." Clogori sounded extremely proud of himself now. "Additionally, this Tenno would be able to do something we couldn't before thanks to the Infested,  that being actually going after Grineer and Corpus bases instead of being forced to fight reactionary. Imagine, one of my creations, walking into a Grineer mining station on their own, and walking out with the full crew turned by the Infested."

"Now, there were some... mistakes made. Some subjects... were lost. In fact, as fat as I know, only Tarnas remains of the Telos subjects." Clogori admitted, sounding almost sad now. "Sadly, the mental effects of Infested influence drove most of them to insanity, and they had to be stopped from causing mass destruction to a Relay or a allied or neutral colony."

"Not impressed." Chegar said. "Most effects short of your mass infestation outbreak are easily attained through mental and physical conditioning. Not to mention, had these subjects had a support line, much of Tarnas's and Tavus's trauma could've been sorted out months in advance." he shifted his stance. "not to mention, we barely have any control over the Helmenth strain as it is. What makes you think this one is any more controllable? You've created a walking time bomb for everyone; not just the corpus and Grineer."
