The 3 mains things that prevent this are : I don't like his powers, so don't really use the said warframe. His body is not interesting to work with in my opinion. It join the previous point but isn't exactly the same : the said warframe have a deluxe skin that I would prefer over anything I can do with the default body shape. So, how I previously said, I won't work on Ash, Banshee and Trinity unless we can use the deluxe body as base model to work on. Probably not. I obviously consider players feedback but don't only do big changes against my initial concept if it's requested by DE. Was discovering how fun she is to play the other day, and I hope your skin will make it through approval smoothly. Thank you for all the work you put into these designs. Chroma is excellent (hope they didn't request too many changes) Khora is amazing, Wukong deserves to be in, and Nova is very nice (and would be an instant buy for me). Ghostkat9 Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 There's a lot of chatter on your Steam Workshop page about the bangs on your Khora design, and it seems people are really divided over the issue. I'd like to chime in about it because to me, it would be an instant buy, except... I love the transparent spikes. They remind me of Godzilla's fins a bit. I love the cat ears and the glowing part on the face in the Khora you posted here on the forum, the "attack" version. Both together really help sell this as a Kavat-themed Warframe, and something high-tech. But then you have this going on - http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2hBeO_Rbz8w/T8KuFmBrNVI/AAAAAAAAA5w/xoK0tImOvck/s1600/Breck+69+wmk.jpg It just doesn't fit with the rest of it, and I think to a certain degree you know that, which is why you have Khora covering up her forehead with her hand in all the display pictures. It feels less like "striking a dramatic pose" and more like "I know this looks kind of silly so I'm going to try and hide this in the presentation". I think that's what people are responding to, the fact that it just feels out of place compared to the rest of the design. The same goes for the other two bang options. It's primarily because NOTHING else on the skin remotely resembles that, so it doesn't integrate with anything else. It's not "bad," but there are people who are so put off by it that they are saying in the Steam workshop that they probably wouldn't use that helmet... which is a shame since I love the cat stuff so much. I recommend sticking with the mecha-kaiju-kavat theme as much as possible, and maybe try working on a few new options for the helmet as alternatives to the swirl. Maybe you'll find something that both camps like more than what you currently have, instead of it being so incredibly divisive. There's no harm in doing a few more iterations and seeing what people respond to. More options are always potentially good. If any aspect of the design could be pushed or exaggerated, I'd argue giving her more clawed nails (or even just a Venka weaponskin to match the rest of this theme) is probably something you can do. Just some constructive criticism that can hopefully help you improve this even more into a solid "must buy," since at the moment it's almost there but those small things are enough to put some people on the fence... right now they either love it, or are debating how much they can bear putting up with a major blemish on what is otherwise a near-perfect skin as to whether or not they choose to move forward with a purchase. I'd say try out alternative approaches that would make people from both camps happy instead of resigning yourself to one or the other, and make some more WIPs. Been waiting on this skin for too long, and honestly, they could have only accepted that one skin for the entire Tennogen round and I'd be happy. Sometime, they give more general feedback on stuff that was far from acceptation, so gonna wait a bit more but don't exept from anything as I know what was wrong. Regardless of what potential artistic direction issues, my Khora, Nova and Wukong skins lack of details a lot. I'm gonna do huges improvement on detail level for these 3 as long as some minor design changes, but still working on Valkyr while waiting for these potential feedbacks to not waste time on changes that wasn't needed.
