Just something that popped into my head while considering the new void keys is why do we have to have separate keys for every mission type anyways. There are Void tiers so why couldn't all of the keys just be a universal tier 1/2/3 and then when we choose which tier key to use we're presented with a ui similar to the current planet one which shows the different mission types available. Then we could just choose which type of mission to do rather than having a key for each type.

I do understand that DE wants to be making some money off of Void keys, but there's nothing more annoying than the fact that eventually we will have all of the stuff from certain Void missions and have useless keys. Materials don't drop in Void missions, so the only reason to do them is for exp/credits if you don't need the end drops. In the future DE could always add higher tiers or do other things that would drive new purchases and/or farming certain areas for further advancement.

Personally I don't see a disadvantage to having universal keys really since it would make them essentially always useful, but I'm curious what other people think of such a change so by all means please post any thoughts and ideas.

I do see a disadvantage. Warframe is a game about playing and playing until you can make the next cool thing, so getting something once and never needing another takes away from gameplay. With less to do, people will play less. Besides, if you need keys, farm Xini. I have about 40 right now. 3 T1, 25 or so T2 and about 15 T3.

While I understand what you're getting at that's an inherent problem... I like playing the game to move forward, but getting useless keys is moving backwards. Getting a Raid or Exterminate key to me is like getting a mod I already have: completely pointless and a waste of time. That's the problem I have with the design of the void, because there are no material drops and because credits and experience are easy to get elsewhere once you have all the gear from the mission type it's extremely devalued over any other mission type. Suddenly a certain type of key is completely pointless to acquire and I'm not sure why we need this measure of rng on top of the rng before the rng again just to get something you might be able to use.

Too many layers of rng and phasing out their own content just seems extremely counter productive...

trying for the next thing is good and all, but does come a point where after so many trys to get something kinda end up loseing hope and the whole thing backfires. if cant seem to finish one goal, then any new goals end up a bit pointless.

am STILL trying for a frost prime blueprint after getting everything but it, including a forma, with the introduciton of new keys its even harder now finding anyone running T3 extermenates for the parts, just glad they dident mix the drop pools for the new items into the older keys, or would definitly have more reason to give up.

not sure if should post this here or new topic but... would be nice for each void run have a chance at a extra item, like an oroken token. and can trade them for diffrent items from the loot table when have enogh of them.  uncommon drop that could be used to eventualy get a rare. maby not allow it to be used for the forma drops
