XB1 Chains of Harrow Remaster Build

PLEASE NOTE!

The Chains of Harrow update will be a remaster build. What makes this build so special, you ask? Well, we did a little summer cleaning and removed old game assets that are no longer in use to free up hard disc space (~21 GB disc space vs. ~46 GB disc space). We also rearranged all existing assets into optimal locations to speed up load times.

What does this mean for you guys? To bring you all these awesome optimizations, the Chains of Harrow update will require Warframe to be re-downloaded. The good news is that half the size means half the download time, and for all of you new to Warframe on XB1 this means the download will be speedy! And for all you existing XB1 players, the update will simply download in the background.

Make sure to keep an eye on the Status thread for Chains of Harrow here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/817696-xb1-chains-of-harrow-status-sent-to-cert/

so we have to delete and reinstall warframe to get the update

No, when the Update launches it will re-download as intended. There is no need to delete Warframe.

None of my builds or anything'll be lost after redownloading, right? They're linked to my account, not my game?

Correct. No information will be lost or deleted with this Update.

So for us older players the download will be a bit longer then a newer players? Also when we delete warframe and download it again, will we keep all off our data or will we have to start all over again? i have never tried it yet so that is why i am asking.

It will keep all your progress. Ive done it and ive had no problem with it

I'm not really surprised DE decided to clean house as it were... given Plains of Eidolon coming up in the foreseeable future (my guess is somewhere in October, likely November, given the stuff they showed at 'Con), and what a fudging Titan of an update that's gonna be... makes sense to me that they'd want to trim the hedges.

For a hardcore player like myself, I'd rather have a 46gb update then have to redownload the entire game. It may download faster but some peoples internet is slow and it'll take up most of the day or two. Just saying, people are going to be pretty upset. Thanks for the heads up though.

My download speeds are bad, this 20+gig update will take me 2 days at least to download, so i'll miss 2 log ins. Not super happy about it but at least log in days don't reset anymore like they used too. On the plus side the size is being reduced and performance improved.
