Nightmare Mode (No Freddy, No Deal)

So...im not hater, or random showup...Im a founder since quite some months now...About Warframe i can say all good things have been said up to date, and more...

I love that they take so much care about what the community has to say, and how true all the updates are to what they announce...

But this takes me to my first annoyance (aside of the 100000000% unnecesary pvp)...Nightmare mode...really, i expected an increased difficulty, maybe unique enemies, or some limitations...but hp drain??? i dont know if it drains by % or certain ammounts, but...i dont use Health mods o the aura, find them completely useless as Ash, and other frames, since penetrating their armors shouldnt be an option if well played...but with these new HP drain thing, in defense missions, i can barely make it to defense point, to then die waiting for the first wave (or scavenge like a madman, relying on pure luck)

I know the nightmare mode is in its first stage,,,but do consider any other options besides hp drain...forces you to change both aura and mods...to useless ones for some warframes...I dont know if it was excessive originality, or so bad design council idea, making it into the game...but no other nightmare mode in games, does this...Nightmare is normally: uber strong enemies, that hit you uber hard, and while warframe shouldnt be defined by what other games do...really, that's what nightmare mode should be...

Anyone else thinks the current stage of Nightmare is a bit mislead? What about adding some variable visual effects, maybe some misleading visions, maybe something that defines better nightmare, delivering a really enhanced "nightmareish" Tenno experience, maybe combining tile sets from all factions...some crazier and less cheap than "just loosing hp"...Hard and surreal sounds better than what we have in current state

I guess i dont need to point this out, at least to this community, but if im saying all this, is to share an impression, not to start an argument about "if the game is good" or "i suck at it", but due to actual concern about the game

have a fine day

HP drain is just not that great of a mechanic.  Either it makes the game easier on nightmare because you constantly heal yourself to full, or it becomes ridiculous when you have to run across a long section with no enemies or wait for enemies to spawn or use an elevator.

The timed mode is pointless because on nightmare stuff spawns like crazy and I always end up with more time on the clock at the end of the level than I started with...  it should probably be a flat time limit that you can't increase but determined dynamically by the level.

These are both ideas that point out good ways to adjust game difficulty while allowing for variable playstyles (Casual, middle, hardcore)

The roulette one was turned down by DE in the livestream so sad to see it turned down though.

Was it? I thought they treated it as a 'Maybe'?

No they said they don't like it being random or RNG they said that if you were to go to caloris in nightmare mode and it was vampire mode + low gravity

Every other time you went to caloris it would be Vampire Mode + Low Gravity

That...Ruins the challenge of it... o.o If it's going to be the same every time, then people will just find out where the nodes have low challenges, and only do Nightmare whenever it's active.

They wanted players to be able to prepare for it and know what's going to happen, its surprising how everytime WE DON'T want RNG and randomness they give it to us and when WE DO WANT RNG and randomness we don't get it, i would the roulette idea i like a challenge, and i like finding out ways to make that challenge 100% easier.
