I Really Wish This Day Would Come...

I wish that one day I'd launch Warframe and be like.

Oh boy! Let's see what I'm gonna do today. Hmm, killing XXX boss on XXX map seems appetizing. Oh man! I think I'm going to run Void, that place is awesome!

Instead of like now.

Man...Another day...Another grind...S#&$ this is worse than my day job...Alright...What's on the list...Defense grind again...Man...Out of Void Keys...*5 hours later*...God...Damn it...What the hell is up with this crappy loot...Ughh...Only 2 keys out of 5 hours?...What the hell...

TL;DR.

I wish that one day I'd launch Warframe, and I'll be thinking to have fun. Instead of launching it, to think I'm heading to my second job.

Warframe used to be enjoyable and fun for me. I'd actually get excited to launch it, and see updates. And eager to try out the new contents.

But now, it's just...Well, like I said. It've grown to feel like a job I don't enjoy doing instead of an actual game.

Yeah i get that feeling a lot. I come to forums to pass time and stuff when i'm bored. Now a days takes me about 1 hour to get bored, if only they added something else then grinding. No i don't mean the dojo. it's only good for research weps. Oh well this is Warfarm after all.

Burn out is a perfectly normal part of the Beta process for a player.

When you play a TON of a game and that game is riddled with little kinks you are destined to just get bored.

Take a few doses of new game experiences - or hell just go play something else period. Pick up a game you've been ignoring on your backlog or go back to an old favorite that you've been neglecting and give it another whirl. It'll 'refresh' your system.

I've done just that twice in my time with Warframe. I'd be lying to pretend I'm always in the mood to play.

When I'm not playing Dragon's Dogma I typically go and play some Dragon's Dogma or continue on my little pet project of running through all three Mass Effect games in order. The variety helps. By the time I've gone through some of that I'm in the mood for more Warframe and back into the trenches I go.

I do play other games and different varieties.

The point of this post, is that I'm pointing - My honest opinion that DE is leading this game into a wrong direction.

This game shouldn't be all about - GRIND TO OBTAIN THINGS.

I still honor and love that DE have the motto of, you don't have to pay if you don't want to. You can obtain everything through time.

But I find that, there's a fine line between excessive grinding, and moderate - spend the time, and you'll get there.

And in this case with the whole 5 new Prime and multiple Void type.

They just threw a tow truck on the grind side of scale and tip the whole balance.

Yeah this game is getting boring for me aswell. Same indoor levels every day.. Why doesn't DE add more "outside" levels.. We're inside playing WF, while being inside a ship which makes it even more boring.. Add a corrupted beach level with a huge map instead of the same old grineer tilesets, even the new one got boring after 4 games.

I agree. This grinding/farming gets boring fast. Everytime there's a new update I get all giddy but after a few hours I just feel like "ughh more farming for new weps and frames"

BE A MAN! DON'T PLAY DRAGON'S DOGMA OR MASS EFFECT SERIES! MAKE BROLAIRE PROUD AND BEAT DARK SOULS AS AN SL1 PYROMANCER!

Or just, you know, do a Guts/Tarkus Cosplay build.

The CM is absolutely right about burn out however, it's happened to me so many times in the past you'd think I would have lost the will to even enjoy a video game.

I played Dark Souls forwards and backwards. I ran out of interesting things that were worth doing.

Dragon's Dogma is almost that good. Almost. I like the combat a lot.
