Help, Lag When I Hold Down A Button And Cant Chat

Recently ive been having this bug that when I hold down a button (w,a, s, d) to move or any other key, the game freezes and I hear a beeping sound similar to scrolling through the options, but when I let go it returns to normal. It seems to affect everyone else because when I was playing with my friend he froze the same time I did, and when I try to chat ill type but nothing gets written or asterisks like *********** pop up. ( I assume they're related, this is the only time that happens) I haven't changed anything in the options, help anyone?
