DSMK2
I've recently brought the Warframe Starter Pack in the Steam Summer Sale, aside from all the other stuff, I've noticed that all the 'rare' cards I've gotten were Warframe ability mods; ones that I already have on my frames and ones for frames that I won't have in the game's 'long' run. Small point: The Warframe Starter Pack isn't a good starter pack if it gives mods that aren't guaranteed general use for new players. Now to look at booster packs, it always feels like I'm cheated on when the mods I get are predominately ability mods. I'm fine with getting more 'general', weapon/general warframe mods, even if I have multiple copies, because hey, booster packs (they're random!) and the knowledge that I'll be able to use it later in one form or another. But with ability mods, their uses are extremely limited as they're exclusive to their respective frame, and in my view because of that, less valuable. So DE, could you somehow limit the distribution of ability cards in booster packs? Or even to the point where booster packs always have their advertised card rarity distribution, along with a varied amount of ability cards? Hipolipolopigus
Honestly, I don't think people would miss them if they were completely removed from the various packs.
PettiTheYeti
I completely agree with this. I bought a few of those 90 Plat packs for S#&$s and giggles and almost every single card I got was a Frame Ability. I don't want, or need, or have any use for, three of Ember's Fireball, if I don't have Ember. Modify the tables for the mod packs to eliminate those cards. They're completely useless
Wynn
Last Dragon pack I bought had 3 warframe ability mods, from now on its just better to buy void key packs imo.
DSMK2
Bumping this. Even if new alternate abilities are released for Warframes, I'd still prefer them to be their own booster pack or as a 'bonus' extra for regular booster packs, provided that ability mods are removed from the tables. Soulie
Yeah, I don't think ability mods need to drop anymore, since you can no longer fuse your last copy.
RagDollRat
why its not like when you get a warframe you get all 4 of its ability mod pshhhhh ... .. .
CeePee
From the Steam packs I bought, I got Rage and Shotgun multishot. Not that I needed either, but still. Rest were pretty much abilities, and I agree the rate should be lower. As it stands, the mod packs from the market are worthless.
Azure_Kytia
But it's the lottery that catches people unaware! It's all the luck of the draw! The thrill of the reveal! For USD$6.00 you can get 5 mostly useless cards!!! \:D/
PettiTheYeti
And that is the problem.. $6 is already a lot of money for some mod cards. Take into account that most of them are Abilities that I either already have maxed, or don't need, and it's a waste of money. I definitely won't buy another one as it stands now. If DE wants those mod packs to sell, they need to take the Abilities out of the tables. Simple as that.
