Forma Braton Or Gorgon?

I have rank 30 Braton and a unranked Gorgon [blue Print, still farming for materials]

 

I got 1 forma to spend, and looking for long term benefits. (note that I'm looking for long term benefit)

 

Which one should I forma?

 

I have read somewhere that Gorgon has been nerfed bad and stuff like that so i'm having doubts whether to spend resources on it.

 

Ok now that its decided to forma braton, any suggestion on which polarity to put?

 

I have serration at lvl 8 V polarity, but still haven't got the Split Chamber (If anyone is willing to help me get one im online now just pm me ^^)..

I sugges using your Forma on Braton. It is far more versatile than Gorgon, and since you are looking for long term benefits, the Braton is the best choice to Forma, if you cannot get your hands on Braton Prime.

I've put five forma into my Gorgon. No regrets.

 

It's still not the ideal weapon against very high rank Grineer, but it's better than the Braton in a majority of situations.

BRATON. I hate Gorgon to death for inaccuracy and ammo efficiency, you only get the benefit of the firerate after a quarter magazine was wasted. You can hold down the fire button + sprint to move with the wind-up firerate but still... not worth it.

Long term? There are superior options over either of those in the long term, so what you really want to know here is about use until you reach the point at which you can acquire the Supra and Braton Prime. In which case, the superior option here is the Braton, as it'll be useful for a far larger quantity of situations, and in pointed fact will likely even delivered higher DPS on average once you factor practical considerations in.

Braton. If you use the correct mod loadout like I do, the higher end missions are easy.

 

Also Gorgon is horrible for accuracy and also got nerfed.

Gorgon is not at all bad as some people think. it has higher damage ( DPS ) then braton, 300 vs 225 for braton.

But its less accurate and has spin-up time.

But higher damage counter these deficiencies.

Its really a toss up in my opinion

I use my Gorgon almost semi auto unless there are heavy units or a whole horde of enemies around, so the spin up-time is almost a non-issue in my eyes.

 

When I need accurate distance fire, I switch to my Kraken or Hikou.

You want a V polarity. Serration and Split Chamber are more expensive than anything you can slot in any other polarity except for Metal Auger.

Of course you should use V polarity because of split chamber, which is whooping 15 mod points !!!
