First and foremost, is you do not know of the article the title is talking about, then here it is: http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/07/19/warframe/

Onto my main point, near the end of the article it speaks of the possibility of making Warframe an eSport. Everybody who read it immediatly posted things such as Warframe is dead, eSports? No, etc. The reason? Because they believe that the balancing involved in making the potential PvP aspect of eSports balanced would also affect the PvE gameplay.

For those of you in this group, they could just separate the balancing in PvP from PvE balancing. The eSports of Warframe might not even be entirely focused on dueling (as in tournament-like PvE challenges)

TL;DR: Do not look at Warframe as an eSport as the end of the game. The balancing in PvP will most likely be separated from that of PvE.

I think the issue comes from peoples experiences of other games where the 2 haven't been kept seperate. Normally for a myriad of reasons including core game mechanics, company resources, player preference, revenue.

I wouldn't be so drastic as to say it will kill the game, obviously companies are always looking to innovate and keep players, but it would certainly be a change in direction from what has been said to date. I'd rather see a DE statement on the fact.

The Co-Op of this game is definitely enough to keep me interested. Just need some challenging missions for us in the end-game.

Love the T3 Defense though now. Something to keep us busy as long as we come across enough keys to support our addiction ;D
