slicshuter Posted July 20, 2013 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Maybe, in the far future, we get more than 4 abilities per warframe, but we can only have 4, so at least people get more range. This way, people can equip their warframe to suit different styles, where the alternate ability offers a slightly different playstyle e.g. Highly offensive warframes get a single defensive ability which they can have. That way, if you want to continue being highly offensive and full damage, go for it, or you can opt for a defensive ability if you feel you take too much damage. Zoike Posted July 20, 2013 Share Posted July 20, 2013 I HAD THE VERY SAME IDEA! i think it would improve customization and personalize play-style. was gonna make a thread myself but some already has it covered! great! anyway the whole mod system screams tht this should be made into a reality. u could get ur basic four abilities but have a chance to receive alternates as drops. personally i think 2 additional abilities just to start and add more later on as new ideas are formulated. please DE! you know this is a great idea! Yeah, we all have different types of warframes, but it shouldn't have to limit playstyle. Some may like the appeal of Saryn, but want to use her poison abilities defensively. The one problem that this has is that they would have to load up all the animations, effects, codes, etc for those powers on top of the ones we have now. I think that would be pretty neat. i think he meant more of like specific skills for specific warframes tht could be use instead of the original abilities. idk if generic skills would work because it would go against their themes and kinda of break their originality...... so personally i dont like the idea- generic abilites should stay with sentinels only. the only generic ablitity im comfortable with is heavy impact and thts because its a passive and mostly utility (and i think it has a cool down not completely sure) again though thts just imho Edited July 21, 2013 by Zoike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Funnily enough, I actually have 5 Rhino mods in my mod inventory, does that mean anyone who had spares of the changed mod can still use them? JBoat Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) I have been hoping they would do this for awhile, especially since they took away my beloved radial blast. I know, I know, the new rhino stomp is better. But it still doesn't feel anything like the old radial blast. I also like the idea of generic abilities, usable by most frames. Things like speed and super jump would be awesome if usable by other frames. I would like to see other movement based abilities as well, like an ability to almost glide if you can get enough air. Would fit someone like banshee well, at least aesthetically. I would love to be able to super jump on rhino. Maybe you just couldn't jump as high due to his mass.
