Solaurus
So in the next huge hotfix (update 8 had 8.3) i was thinking that there can be Warframe SYNergies. Like the Radial Javelin + Bullet attractor combo, there can be certain synergies that do extra stuff, look cool, or add effects. Examples.... Volt: Overload + Tesla: Volt explodes all Teslas in the surrounding area, using them like electronics. Ele.Shield + Shuiken: The Shuriken becomes cloaked in lightning when thrown through the shield, dealing electric damage Speed + Super Jump: Excalibur bounds upwards (while moving forward) at an absolutely FABULOOOOUUUUUUUSSS!!!! pace, knocking over enemies in his way. Frost: Freeze + Fireball: The frozen target melts, dealing extreme damage Ice Wave + Wormhole: The Ice Wave travels through the portal and comes out on the other side, accelerated and more dangerous Snow Globe + World on Fire: The Snow Globe turns into unbearable steam, burning enemies, but rejuvenating allies, healing them. Nova: Null Star + Freeze/Shock/Fireball: The stars floating around Nova become imbued with elemental power, shocking/freezing/burning enemies as they collide with them. Antimatter Drop + Link: The projectile becomes tethered to Trinity, following her and pulsing with energy as she goes along. Wormhole + Speed: The teammate effected by Speed's molecules become volatile, invigorating there bodies almost to the point of bursting. Increases Speed's speed by 200% Molecular Prime + Freeze/Shock/Fireball: Enemies effected by Molecular Prime and hit by Freeze/Shock/Fireball will explode on death, releasing the explosion with an added elemental edge and affect. Stuff like this is what i mean. And yes, SYN in SYNergy is capitalized on purpose for added coolness. Kinda like how adding an X to a name makes it sound cooler (IE. Azraill
Wormhole + Speed: The teammate effected by Speed's molecules become volatile, invigorating there bodies almost to the point of bursting. Increases Speed's speed by 200% Overall idea: Fun. This particular Idea: Bad. Just .. just no.. I use volt, damn thing is just perfect in speed as it is, 200% faster would make everyone who's never experienced Volt's speed on a common basis vomit : everyone who has, will just be so distorted they'll be hitting off walls at record pace. :P otherwise pretty good, but ah' the only other issue is balancing for one which is in DE's court and I'd highly detest the idea of the Freeze-Shock-Fireball idea without some boosted tweaking because we all know Frost's Freeze is a 'if they get shot they get unfroze' and his icewave only slows them for about 1 1/2 seconds: it's pathetic, just as Volt's Shock does crap for damage and is only infact any good for the 2-3 second stun. So yeah, it's a big matter in terms of balancing but fun overall.. specially the portal use.. would feel like I"m playing portal again >.> Speaking of which, idea for a new synergy based warframe "Atlas" who is a cyborg : and is pre-equiped with a portal gun as his secondary, left click for Blue right click for RED! <.< His powers include ooze flooding out from the portals and based on other players use it can freeze, speed you up, or burn enemies in it's path >.> No.. no I didn't just play through Portal 1 & 2 a couple days ago.. MangoMonkey
There are problems with this, though. I really like the idea, but it could lead to "unintended" consequences within the gameplay. For instance, a Frost has his globe up and his team is relying on that to protect them and the pod, as level 120 mobs throw themselves against it. Ember is forced to use her own powers to clear the pod of melee units, at which point the shield dissipates and the game is lsot.

Or the EMber could just leave the Snow Globe and use WoF :P

DE could siwtch thoose bindings to the SYNergies. So if Frost just uses the normal keybindings, ember cant steam the globe.

EclecticDragon
Ele.Shield + Shuiken: The Shuriken becomes cloaked in lightning when thrown through the shield, dealing electric damag But. But Electric Shield already adds damage, though from what the wiki states armor ignoring weapons don't gain the boost so maybe this does need to be added. The "shuriken" you are referring to are called Hikou in-game man.... -_- Edited July 21, 2013 by Solaurus

Amistyrja
This has been brought up before twice if I recall, I think one of the topics is in the Fan Zone now or something Anyway, I'm still a fan of this idea and how it has the potential to give abilities like Well of Life, Psychic Bolts, Shuriken etc better use in team missions and Defense. Kesella
Using pull on Bastille makes it pull everything within X range into Bastille? Maybe just using it on the ball that Bastille deploys from, if it stays in the game world, not sure.

skiwi2
+1, should be primarily used for buffing up underused warframe combinations, not for adding OPness. Even though if the combined would be just damn awesome, then it should even be done for the sake of the visuals only
Notso
are you serious? :v Yes, and personally I can see where they're coming from. The stuff like WoF evaporating Snow Globe just seems gimmicky to me.
Kazhui
I don't want any Ember melting my globe or unfreezing enemies I just froze. Edited July 21, 2013 by Kazhui
UGotNinjaTrolled
A great idea. But considering Mag's un-usefulness and her synergy with some of the other frames already, it would be cool if she could be a primary synergy-based frame. Thoughts?
