Khaos_Zand3r
I'll get right to the point: V polarities on certain Warframes are a burden, not an aid.4 frames have double V polarities:Banshee (also has V Aura)NovaAsh (also has V Aura)Excalibur PrimeThere are only three V polarity mods, though:Focus (RARE) (So rare that in my almost 300 hours of playing I have yet to see one)Continuity (RARE) Rage (RARE)Now, why are these not helpful on these frames?-These mods max out at a lower value than some other Frame mods, meaning the polarity slot is less effective than, say, a D or - type.-Nova: Continuity does nothing to her abilities (supposedly only adds 1 extra Null Star when maxed out).-Ash, Banshee, Excal P: Effects of Continuity are generally not enough to warrant a polarized slot. Retracted, as their utilities are affected. However, outside of Smokescreen, my personal focus is generally on damage dealing abilities. For example, Continuity doesn't effect Soundquake.-V polarized aura slot: Steel Charge and Rifle Amp are the only auras with a V polarity. Since blade based abilities DO NOT take into affect any melee mods or damage values, this goes to waste with Blade Storm. And since Steel Charge affects base damage for melee, it doesn't apply to Stealth Kills, because those are crits. Rifle Amp is therefore the only really useful one, and even then there are better auras that would better suit these frames. -Rage: Ash and Nova are in no way durable frames, so using a mod that relies on using health is a terrible strategy. Banshee, Nova, and Ash are all ability dependent. One V polarized slot on each of them is fine, but the second would have much better use as a - for either Stretch, Flow, or Streamline. *They are all rare mods, meaning bringing them to a rank high enough to need their value halved is unlikely without mass fusion cores. (this is my primary point)Thoughts? I would especially like to hear what the devs have to say on this. Oizen
Big time. My Excali prime is suffering for his double V slots. Having 2 is supposed to make him better than excali, but he's really not. It actually makes him worse. And Im sure as hell not taking the time to use a forma. Edited July 21, 2013 by Oizen

asurako989
I some what agree. I wish they at least let us choose what polarity we want for free, since they implemented it into the frames for us, instead of letting us choose it.
Khaos_Zand3r
Rifle Amp is a V Good catch. Didn't notice. However, that still doesn't make much of a difference. Edited the OP to match. Edited July 21, 2013 by Khaos_Zand3r
AlvaroXDM
Focus and Continuity are beast mods. Wish my Ember had two V :'( - certainly not a good pick for those champions, true.
Oizen
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Rifle_Amp Your point? Its an Aura. It doesnt help the the slots on any of the frames mentioned besides the aura slots of Banshee and Ash. But since Auras add mod slots, aura polarties really arent the issue. The issue is there are only 2 V mods both useless to every frame burdened with V polarities. Edited July 21, 2013 by Oizen

tantananan
You cant put Auras on anything but the Aura slot. He meant this: -V polarized aura slot: Steel Charge is currently the only aura with a V polarity. Rigle amp Aura has a V polarity.

Oizen
He meant this: Rigle amp Aura has a V polarity. But Auras arent an issue. Hell I maxed out my Frame with Max energy siphon with the wrong polarity just cause it still adds. Another I have yet to find, but just saw that on the wiki. Updating. Still not that useful to any of these frames. I'd only want to see Rage on a tank frame. Edited July 21, 2013 by Oizen

AvatreDaemonSadi
Has no one heard of Forma? They have implemented a mechanic so that you CAN change the polarities.
asurako989
not everyone is rich enough to purchase tonnes of extra formas just to change the polarity slot to another. we do use formas for other purposes too. Oizen
Has no one heard of Forma? They have implemented a mechanic so that you CAN change the polarities. I strongly feel that Formas should be for adding polarties. Not fixing polarties that were forced as a short sight of the devs. A lot of people wasted polarities when auras costed mod slots. And now that they give them they forma'd for nothing. This could easily be seen as the same. Im sure they'll eventually add some decent V polarities. Numot
This made me laugh. You sir Khaos undervalue focus and continuity. They are pretty strong mods. Heck, even though continuity only effects smokescreen on ash for example, its enough of a boost to easily notice and make use of.

Purchase forma. Who in their right mind would do that? Run void missions. Keys are easy to get. And the forma drop rate is pretty balanced, atleast in my case. I have through upwards of 30 forma into the dojo, forma'ed multiple slots and still have plenty left over that idk what to do with them.
Dussack
I think everyone with nova is using a forma on one of those v's having to level a frame rwice just to make it like it should be is a little annoying.

But on these frames there are significantly better mods that should have the polarity by default. And to everyone saying to just forma it: I for one don't have the time to waste on remaxing the frames just to fix something the devs got wrong. Forma should be used to make the frame stronger, not just bring it on par with the others.
