What Defensive Mods To Use?

Question

Using Nova as my current main, what defensive mods should be the ones I keep an eye out for? I was always using redirection and vitality, but watching a nova soloing in T3 I noticed they at least were not using vitality. How well does the armor one scale as well? Basically, I am not sure which scale best for how the games formula's work, and how many i should aim for.

The reason people don't use Vitality is because armor is useless, and on armorless 'Frames like Nova that is even more true. Basically, slot Redirection and as many offensive mods as you can and try not to take too much fire. Bring a Sentinel with Guardian and you've effectively doubled your shields.

Health is worthless unless you're Rhino, Frost, or Saryn. (Possibly Ash as well...)

alright thanks :) another quick question if I may as I am leveling my saryn a bit now,  should I get redirection on her? her shields seem really low so the effect is lowered quite a bit.

Nevertheless, the shield is your most used defensive property as it regenerates quickly, and is almost doubled by your sentinel. So go for Redirection. Especially as a Saryn, when your shield depletes, you can make a decoy and get into cover to let your shield reload.

Vitality also comes in handy when you use Rage mod, or fight toxic infested.
