Fire Colors

just recently bought the Fire colors and noticed that, what i'm sure is black while it's in the tiny square at the color selection(had put the brightness all the way up to check on my pc), in reality, is a REALLY dark red, some friends that had bought the same package were kind disappointed with the same problem...

while you're in your arsenal, you still see it as black(sometimes you don't), but when you go to brighter places, you look red.

what i was thinking is that DE could either change the color on the square to something that looks red so people will know what they're buying or make that color black as everybody who bought the "pack" was expecting.

was kinda frustrating to make a black wf and put the nicest red that there is only in the Fire colors and find out you're in fact all red....

anybody noticed and was surprised as well ?

@purplehaze

i wouldn't expect normally, but go look at the square-colors while you select it, even though i wouldn't NORMALLY expect it, if there's a black square there, i assume it's black.

but going through the same line of thinking, there isn't white in fire and white is there
there is blue fire, and isn't there...

@direcyphre i know, but that's what i described, you can only notice it when you're in brighter places(void missions, for example)

Perhaps you need to rebalance the color on your monitor? It's really dark, sure, but (on my monitor at least) I can tell that the "black" color in Fire is red, even in the Arsenal screen, and same for the dark blue in Storm.

It's the colors of fire. Burning ashes, reddish blackish, red, orange, yellow, and white

although they dont have blue.. they wanted to maximize the tradition fire colors i bet.. but if you want blue just use the default or buy ice/infested/etc. color pallets

guys, don't just rage on me and refuse to understand what i SUGGESTED:

change the color on the square(or label it, i don't know) just because it is in the Fire and there is no black fire, that doesn't mean i won't take it thinking it is black because IT IS BLACK on the selection pallet and also because there's no white fire, and there's white in the pallet.

like i said: either turn it to black or change the appearance of the color on the selection(or label it)

There is no black in other than Smoke palletes. You could try it before buying, so this thread is unnecessary...

but there is  ...

I don't get this at all... there IS a damned black in the fire color pallet. it's the one directly under the red op is talking about... it's just not glossy like what you get in saturated or smoke. You don't even need the stalker pack or smoke to go full black. just use the one on the VERY bottom left.

The real quesition is where are the green and blue flames that come from burning plastics and the like. that S#&$ is fire to.
