And if DE decides to lower frame and weapon prices....i only see rage incoming. Think for a sec about it, people paid 20-30 $ for Rhino and if you make it 10 or 15 it will only bring rage from people that paid full price. Solution is either to include frame and weapon discounts in daily rewards or refund for people who paid full price. Or just do what that unholy game called LoL does, get weekly discounts for random frames or weapons.

• 500 platinum and 100,000 credits to start stocking up on equipment immediately.
• 6 random Common MOD Cards to being to upgrade your Warframes and weapons right away.
• 4 random RARE MOD Cards for extra powerful modifications to your equipment.
• The Affinity Booster will rank up your equipment at a faster rate for a few days.
• The Credit Booster will allow you to gather credits much quicker for a few days.

 

For 10 USD during the last Steam sale. Everyone that uses Steam got that. Not only me. 

 

But yeah, the in-game shop prices are stupdly high, for things that aren't potatoes or those things you already mentioned.

 

EDIT: Besides the really limited color palettes...especially the last 2 flag colors that got released...

That's an exception, not a rule :) $10 for that is GREAT, normally $10 gets you 170 plat. And that pack is normally $40... Which is 680 plat.

 

edit: the mods were 100% worthless btw, all skills. Might as well not include them really.

6 common mods: Decoy, Mind Control, Freeze, Tesla Granade, Shock and Shuriken.

4 rare mods: Radial Disarm, Molecular Prime, World on Fire and Avalanche.

1. Not if you buy warframes... which is what i've done... + slots and colors (I look like a walking advertisment for Crayola!)

i didnt see the reasoning in buying something i could obtain ingame for free. what you actually paid for was a ticket out of grinding the parts, the materials required to make said parts, and the rush fees for everything as well as its pre-installed reactor and warframe slot. everyone else had to wait at least 4 days to get their frame and even longer for a chance at a reactor. youre essentially paying to not have to wait, which makes sense. granted, the prices need to be re-balanced (vauban more then frost), but other then that i dont see how its overpricing a frame. slots are rather cheap, as well as weapon slots.

2. Theres a difference between IRL stores and a video game.

you cant get any cheaper then that. everything else in this game you can give them money to make your gaming experience faster and any visual changes that do nothing to alter gameplay. for them to ask you to give up a bit of cash to speed through their hard work is the equivalent of a roadside rock band asking you to buy their CDs if you like their music so they can get a cheese burger. i personally find that fair.

4. It does NOT defeat the purpose. I don't know how many game communities use "Take a survey for free points", or "Watch this video for 10 free points". Only problem with that I would say is to scan out the legit ones from the ones that do NOTHING. However, it's still free points and they get paid for the advertisment for everytime a member earns platinum. I don't recall getting platinum handed to me, except when I started. With that being said, I haven't check "outside of the game" if that's what you mean.

that in itself is a bit of a sellout way in different companies, and are usually in companies that are falling apart, give you next to nothing, and more often then not will infect your computer with something dirty.

i feel that way of making points is right up Nexon's anus, but it is infact very dirty. im sure that if a good idea comes the way for DE, like putting up an advertisement on a personal site and obtaining platinum based on the number of hits you get could be something that would be awesome.

Also I'm not forcing m priorities on other people, I'm simply stating my opinion saying that I think the prices are way to high and should be lowered a tad so everyone would WANT to buy platnium more often.

i want to buy platinum all the time. coupons is something that hardly any other gaming company does. im sure in the future they will look at some 'vintage' prices and say 'ya know, everyone pretty much gets this, and this weapon isnt as good as the rest, so lets put it at a lower cost to compensate.' but only time will tell.

When? Last I remember (and only time) was the steam community choice sell, or the dual skana. Which has been on sale forever...

ahh true, however only recently, and they're not THAT good I think. They were what, like 33% I think?

Not even 33%, Femme Fatale only saves you around 175 platinum (which is ten bucks, granted), which is closer to 20%, but is a loss for the player if he doesn't actually want all three of the Warframes in the pack.

Currently the only things you should ever spend plat on are: Color packs, potatoes, item slots, forma, and a few of the bundles.

 

Warframe is kinda weird in the sense that established longtime players have less incentive to actually spend on the game. A new player benefits a lot from buying an extra frame, and maybe 2-3 weapons they can then use to progress through the content easier than say just sticking with the starter guns. An established player has all the mods and thus the means to actually farm up anything they need at will short of potatoes, forma, and inventory slots.

Well actually I'd like to pay for a BOOST to get my warframe. I REALLY don't like the idea of waitting 1 day (depending on whether or not you got the mats) Then wait 3 days later to build the damn warframe itself. It's rediculous, Ontop of that pay in credits for all the stuff too, which hurts if your doing fusions for mods.

 

I'd buy the pack just so I don't have to wait 4 god damn days to have a frame. It's like one of those facebbok games x.x, however, prices are so high, I don't even have enough to get it, but I'd like to so I can boost up the days to have it now, get a color pack, and materials to get a sword that I wanted. However for $10.00 I dont think "looking pretty" is really wroth it, especailly when I only need 4 materials left to get teh sword I want... and the waitting process alone is just rediculous but better than spending $10.00.

 

 

So over all even getting the platinum isn't worth it... unless i had a 75% off special, then I'd be on paypal right this second.
