Whats Your Opinion On Our Clan Emblem?

Ok I had to create our emblem and I was in the mood for some kind of combo.

Eastern art with medieval influences.

I added it to my ash wallpaper and it fits well in my opinion. ^^

What do you think about it?

It's only my opinion but I find Ash's posture is not fitting with the whole image. The pose is not dynamic enough for me. Make him slide, maybe ? Seeing the stripes are horizontal, I'd see a dynamic horizontal posture. :I

looks ok, but I have a feeling "too much stuff going on" ... ?

Hehe :D

I also had this feeling. I have to wait to see if its "too much" in game :D

But thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for your feedback =) I wanted to keep it minimalistic and such stuff. But I guess you might be right ^^

The 死神 character's fonts don't really match up, and having them separated like that is a bit off-putting. You could write them vertically and put them under the lion's paw and make that the only emblem on the shield, and move whatever B.B. stands for onto a scroll or something if you want to stick with a coat of arms.

An honest opinion: It looks a little generic, it need some pesonality. It need something more unique to it, otherwise to me its looking like clip-art & fonts.

The generic feel is probably because of the lack of detail.

In order to make it more than clip-art & fonts like Soaron puts it, there'd need to be more colors to give it a sense of dimensions. Right now it looks like a flat image on a piece of paper drawn with markers. If you know how to use photoshop and give it some shading to provide an illusion of an actual shield with depts, it'll look a lot more dynamic.

Also, like said above the DEATH font is more printed while the GOD font is more fasthand, so you might want to look for more matching fonts.

Here are some examples of more dynamic shield-type emblems for your reference:

As you can see, from left to right, top to bottom, the first one looks good due to the distinct colors. However, it is a physical shield.

The second one is digital, and and design and execution are rather MEH imo, but the addition of subtle shading for the blue and red makes it a lot better than it would've if there were no shading and have just solid colors.

Third one I like quite a bit, it being also digital, but the shading makes it appear 3D.

And the last one. If it's too much work for you to do shading, or if you'd just like to stick to the black and red, you should consider doing a single-color outline with a gradient backdrop. It is more minimalist, but at the same time doesn't give the "windows stock image" feel of filling everything with solid colors.

Just my subjective opinions. Hope it's constructive enough feedback.

I think once you get it on an icon the red on the inside of the crest is going to bleed together and youre going to lose a lot of that detail.

Also, without any definition that red is going to be very soft, probably going to look like 4 red squigglies.
