ArcLightCRO
To continiue my reddit topic I'm gonna post another one of the similar 100 "new weapons made old ones obsolete" topic. There I said that damage types need to be revised a bit. Most of the old weapons fire "Bullet" damage type. Saying that I don't see how Lato compared to Lex or Braton compared to Gorgon fires same "Bullet". It's like saying that todays Glock is firing same bullet as .50 Desert Eagle or that M16 is firing same bullet as DSkA and has the same penetration. What I wanna propose is we divide this into light bullet, bullet and heavy bullet each with each own advantage (for example bumping light bullets crit chance, extra dmg vs light targets, bullet stays as is and heavy bullet has some innate puncture, 50% AP, stagger or whatever). So wa' i'z sayin iz dat this game needs to revise da dakka!
Rhorge
Well, it's not like Lato deals the same damage as Lex, is it? Lex will deal more damage per shot to anything, including armor.

Tyrian3k
I'm in favour of a change to "normal" damage. Maybe that brings the normal bullet damage types more on par with the physics impact/AP/serrated blade damage types that give several weapons a significant advantage over other weapons. Actually what he is saying is that, Lato should have a good beneficial perk to it that balances it out against Lex's superior damage. Both guns use the same ammo making the Lex a better choice in any situation.
ArcLightCRO
I'm in favour of a change to "normal" damage. Maybe that brings the normal bullet damage types more on par with the physics impact/AP/serrated blade damage types that give several weapons a significant advantage over other weapons. Exactly that "normal" that is "bullet" damage type needs to be revised a bit. We don't need drastic number changes, we just need to bring some old weapons back to make them up to par with hard to obtain weapons. Not everyone invest 200+ hours in 2 month time in a game, nor is everyone part of big clan for the matter. Actually what he is saying is that, Lato should have a good beneficial perk to it that balances it out against Lex's superior damage. Both guns use the same ammo making the Lex a better choice in any situation. Also that. Weaker pistol should be able to carry themselves later on. Lex will always be better per shot, but who can't say that lets say aklato can eliminate light infested at better rate.

E.R.I.C
finaly someone with guns in games expert or kind of :) i really agree with this, the type of bullets should be the one that giving the dmg number example (same bullet with diferent weapon = same dmg) but the mechanics of how the bullets fired is diferent and maybe 1 gun can use 2 or more different kind of ammo with different effects, advantage and disadvantages of course. DCypherThis13
Da dakka needs help. Glock vs. Desert Eagle..... Nice comparison and so true. Even with armor or cover, the Deagle will find you and hurt you, .50AE... Holy crap. Glock, not so much(Even the 10mm).

Instead of piercing it forces it's way through something. Would be nice to see new mechanics in works, at least some comment from DE team that they gonna see into it in future. They shred light units like paper but don't put a scratch on Ancients, while my Kunai destroy everything. +1 to the OP.
