Join us this Friday, October 13th for a Devstream!

Who:  Whoever is awake!

What:  Come one come all for the 99th Devstream  – where we’ll be taking time to explain the massive update of Plains of Eidolon! We’re hoping the Update is out before the Devstream… if it is, get ready for some Twitch Drops! If it isn’t, we’ll be going over the Update notes on air and walking you through the 3+ GB of content!

Tenno – this truly is our most ambitious Update to date. We are so excited to spend time with you in its launch week – so get comfortable and prepare yourself to celebrate the journey we’ve been on together. Warframe was once a single tileset… and now we’ve got a landscape. Let’s explore it together!

Prizes? Why yes, we will be giving away 3 x 1000 Platinum Prizes and during the Livestream as well as a Hydroid Prime Access!

Where: Find us at: twitch.tv/Warframe

When: Join us this October 13th at 2 p.m ET!

swiggity swaggity.

Excite levels are high.

one question I really want answered: After venus, what's next? Can we get Eris. Would LOVE to see your interpretation of an infested open landscape :P

Question for the Devstream - With birds now being in game on the plains of eidalon is there a chance of getting them in our lisets as a pet.

Question for the Devstream - Is there a chance of reworking the planets to have the correct environments. for example Venus is supposed to be hot not covered in snow. Can we get a volcanic landscape.

ey DE think we will ever get an actual long sword in this game?

what we currently have are arming swords and great swords

Broken War, Cronus, Jaw Sword, Plasma and such are not arming swords in any meaning of the word. They allow two handed grips and are too long to be arming swords.

The only arming sword in the game is the normal Silva.

Question regarding the update.

With o-so-great sniper buff was even greater nerf - a range nerf... Why? What was the purpose of nerfing the effective range for those weapons ?

(effective range is what we are able to see/ recognize)

400 (as of sept. 27 forum post link) meters is twice the range of the largest tileset current available(forum link), I believe you'll probably be occupied more often by things within said range that outside of it

I imagine it something with red skies and bursts of poison clouds, goo swamps, living caves, abandoned outposts, a safe haven in shambles. I could go on and on honestly....

1) They're looking at adding bird companions in the future but its not even WiP right now.

2) Lore-wise all planets in the solar system were terraformed by Orokin to be habitable, hence why we have things like breathable atmosphere on Venus, Mercury or even as far as Europa. One of minor plot points is that their tinkering went too far and ruined Earth's natural habitat turning it into a toxic wasteland which is why they moved to the Moon. It was centuries after The Collapse that Earth became green again.

Hey DE, I have a rather specific question to ask:

Many people, after the focus workshop, presented concerns regarding the fluidity of Operator-Warframe switching, arguing that, convoluted and clunky as it currently is, would be rather uncomfortable (and even unviable)  to play with - and the fact you changed the alteration so that it is as fast and smooth as possible shows that you listened to these concerns, and agree with them.

With in mind... Since you are now aware of the importance of fluidity and speed for a confortable and viable gameplay... Could you please apply the same values to Equinox, and let her powers changing function  with her instead of deactivating?

(and please buff her base Pacify and Mend, while slightly merging her augment for compensation. Kinda terrible having her three either be useless, or be antithetic to her nature)

Can we have a look at continuous trigger mechanics? They are mechanically the weakest in the game because multishot only affects status instead of critical. Yet status is a horrible idea to build for because for continuous weapons status comes in status per second, so you would need 200% status to inflict it twice a second. Any auto weapon with 100% status can do better than this. Even an auto weapon with 60-70% status can do better than that most of the time.

That also brings up something new: even if you buffed what status did for continuous weapons, this would make them only good for status.

Please consider buffing continuous trigger.

It would still be interesting to have a volcanic tile-set. Variety is the spice of life
