[Feature Concept] The Pentadrome Project

This concept came about after some clanmates and I were reminiscing about "the old days" of endless prime farms in the void towers. So I got to thinking of a way to bring back the endless challenge and reward of the towers, while keeping the new relic system as it is, and of course explaining it lore-wise. It is not entirely complete, but lays the foundation for a whole new gameplay aspect that DE could easily add on to as much as they wanted. Also worth noting that this was written up before the plains of eidolon were a thing. And while it looks like DE is trying to make the plains a challenge suitable for veterans, this system could easily work alongside the plains. Anyways, let me know what you think, feedback is appreciated.

"The Pentadrome. An ancient orokin structure, lost to the deepest reaches of the void, has drifted back within reach of the origin system. Over time, exploration by brave Tenno may reveal what the purpose of this massive structure once was, and what secrets it may still hold."

The Pentadrome will be a large orokin structure that serves as the endgame challenge for warframe veterans. It consists of pentagon-shaped layers, with each layer representing a difficulty tier. Each layer contains 5 mission types, hence the five-pointed shape. Layers are arranged from the outside of the structure inward, with each layer given an architectural name that designates it's tier alphabetically. Example: (A)trium, (B)arracks, (C)atacombs, etc. This organizes difficulties, but also makes the structure modular, so as time goes on and players get access to more and more powerful gear as the game is updated, additional difficulty tiers can be added, ensuring the very best players always have something challenging to test themselves with. Relics can be used to farm prime parts as well, and each tier would increase the efficiency of relics, rewarding greater amounts of prime loot for fewer relics as risk increases.

Pentadrome Atrium: This outer layer requires each squad member to bring one Void Relic. All 4 Relics must be of the same era. Era chosen affects enemy difficulty. Functions the same as current relic system, but allows players to choose whichever game mode and relic type they want without waiting for a fissure. This convenience comes at the cost of increased difficulty over most randomly placed fissures, giving a challenge for veteran players while not removing access to relics from newer players.

A2. Sabotage

A3. Mobile defense

A4. Spy

A5. Hijack

Pentadrome Barracks: This next layer requires a key upon entering. Also requires a relic every 5 rounds. Each round awards an item contained in the chosen relic. Effectively makes each relic worth 5. Endless versions of these game modes work the same, except instead of going to extraction after each objective, the squad will ride an elevator up to another floor for another round, increasing difficulty.
