Excalibur Abilities (Question)

I got my excalibur prime when buying founder pack, and I gotta admit that I enjoy playing him. Excalibur seems more useless than I thought.

 

I was wondering though, he got 2 polarities, I use focus on 1 of them. I'm not sure what to use on the other one! According to the wiki, radial blind, isnt affected by continuity, but someone in the comment section says it IS.

 

So can someone give a good tip to what to put into that last attack polarity? And maybe confirm the fact that blind from radial blind is improved my continuity?

I think this polarity is completely useless, as is his aura polarity. There is still NO mod that is of any good use for this polarity slot, and thats just it. You will either have to forma it away or wait for mod that fills this slot. In my opinon the devs should change this slot to a  -  polarity.

I agree.. However, if continuity affects radial blind, then it may be of SOME use.

Ya Continuity affects Slash Dash's distance covered.

 

Btw yeah, double V sucks most of the times... hope they'll add a useful new V mod soon...

I haven't tested it yet, but Continuity may affect the number of spears fired by Radial.....whatchamacallit. (can't remember, haven't played him in a little while)

I wasnt being sarcastic. I mean, I cant empty a map like some of the other frames out there, when Im on him, but if I use my slash dash right, radial blind and javalin, I prove to be quite a killer. Joining a defense on an excalibur, does have its flaws though. If I want to get far in those, I mostly have to cross my fingers that there are a few frames such as Frost, Saryn, nova or Vauban.

Heh, point. That's why I have a Vauban. Vauban for endless defense missions, Excalibur for... pretty much everything else.

Well I Vauban always disappoints me in higher defenses. I know his CC ability is amazing, but the teslas, are kinda weak :S

To be honest, I think the trick in using Vauban is basically treat endless defense missions like if it's a Tower Defense game: Toss the Teslas and the Bounce grenades on the enemy's road, use Bastille around the cryopod and Vortex on the most crowded road.

After playing around with my Excal (not prime, but that's irrelevant with 67 points to play with and some forma) and the mods in question (all maxed), these are my conclusions:

 

Focus - Improves all damage from Slash Dash and Radial Javelin, as well as jump height of Super Jump. All are quite noticeable increases; I can leap from the pod to the ledge/rafters on the upper level of the interior defense missions with maxed Focus + Pendragon Helm, while 1450 damage Javelins, launched twice (easily done with Streamline or Flow), will drop or seriously damage even fairly high rank ancients.

 

Continuity and/or Constitution - Definitely increases Slash Dash duration/length and does seem to have some effect on Radial Blind, but I haven't measured it in detail.

 

Anyway, for Excal Prime, I'd probably take Focus, Continuity, Streamline (often better than Flow, because it makes sources of energy proportionally more effective and you aren't as screwed if you get disrupted), and , Redirection, Vitality, and either Rush or Constitution.

 

I can see Rage being useful if you have Trinity in your squad or you are doing vampire nightmare missions.

The wiki says it isn't. I'm pretty sure I see a difference. There are numerous errors and much outdated information in the wiki.

loki is not useless nor does mag. you need to L2P those frame so watch what you say coz down right loki can disarm 2 factions with one skill plus his invisi saves lives. he doesnt need to have dmg skills if he has good weaps.

I didn't say Loki was useless. I said Loki was squishy.
