So I Heard You Like Organ Shatter....

This thread is really important to the community.

I have gotten pages of mind controls before, big whoop.

Blah, killjoy.

Just a little poking fun at the "random" drops and how some mods that are nigh-useless except on a very small number of weapons end up dropping in droves. I've probably gotten like 10 organ shatters out of 3 Vor runs.... and how many melee weapons is that even useful for, anyways?

Kinda wish they wouldn't make Crit so freaking common as so few weapons can even make much use of it.

But it was more meant to be a humorous thread.

I DID, however, get the Barrel (3 runs before the one in the screenshot). I have the Receiver. I wonder how many Organ Shatters later until I get the Blueprint, lol.

It's a V mod.  Be happy.

It could've been vitality...for your sentinel.

You know another V mod I'd like to see this often, that is actually useful for ALL weapons?

Serration

Hornet Strike

Heck even Pressure Point/Killing Blow.

Organ Shatter?

.........meh.

Oh, and I'd gladly take as many Sentinel Vitalities as you wanna give me -- Dethcube is still getting itself killed on a regular basis and it takes just as many of those to level it as it does Serration, Redirection, etc.

Yes...my point being, that the commonality of polarity helps you level your serration and hornet strike more effectively.

Obviously not as good as getting a hornet strike or a serration, or a rare fusion core, but...

....well, anyway.  The debate is kinda pointless.  You get what you get.

Well they did say that they are doing a revamp soon of "drop tables".

I hope this includes mods and this post is two parts humor and two parts feedback and/or example of what needs changing. Giving newbies low-crit weapons and then loading them up with lots of crit mods is... not exactly a good way to get a newbie started.

Now, IF those mods added a  FIXED VALUE instead of a PERCENTAGE, then those crit mods would actually help a newbie. But, sticking a +100% crit chance on a weapon that only has 5% or less crit barely makes any difference and is a massive waste of mod capacity points. This problem is compounded by the fact newbies don't know any better.

IMO, Armor Pierce needs to be the first thing you find if it has to be a weapon mod since it is so bloody important early-game, with all of those grineer everywhere. If not that, then Ammo Capacity as running out of ammo is near-constant when you're a newbie because your weapon just doesn't do enough damage, even if you knew enough to buy a Braton first-thing and you didn't stick with the MK1.
