Rifle Amp Not Affecting Sobek?

I read on http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Rifle_Amp'>the wiki that rifle amp affects all primary weapons, including shotguns such as Sobek, which makes sense since there are no shotgun specific aura.

 

But I just tested an unmodded Sobek in M Prime on light Grineers - 25 on body shots and 50 on headshots, per pellet, both with and without rifle amp. My rifle amp is rank 3 with 18% damage boost so it should have a noticeable effect, but it doesn't.

 

Is this the intended behavior or should there be a "shotgun amp" aura?

Is your rifle amp ranked up? If not then it won't be doing enough to be noticeable. Also remember that you can't do full damage to Grineer Lancers and Troopers (and so on) without Armor Pierce/Ignore

It currently has +18% damage so it should have a noticeable boost on the 25 damage to level 1 light Grineers who shouldn't have armor resisting it. Edited my original post to reflect this.
