Update Failed.

So I was patching my Warframe just now and it said:

"Update failed!

 

Could not update file J/Steam/steamapps/common/Warframe/Tools/Launcher.exe

 

Access is denied [0x00000005]"

Can someone tell me what to do?

Try restarting your computer, steam and warframe, if all fails try reinstalling it.

I tried everything you said, still no change.

Looks like I have to reinstall the game..

I had the same issue. I uninstalled and re-installed the game several times using different browsers and tried restarting my computer, etc etc... Eventually I right clicked the desktop icon and clicked "run as administrator" and it worked just fine. Hope that helps.

I am so glad I kept reading the forums and found this post.  I almost resorted to a reinstal but "run as administrator" worked first try, THANK YOU.

NONE of these are working for me, the sites laggy as hell for me and there goes ANOTHER alert i cant get on to do, this is getting silly now tbh.
