Spectre118
It was astounding how many people are opposed to having a simple gender change option for Warframes. Saying it's just turn into generic MMO classes. I didn't know having a gender option makes them generic MMO classes. Last I checked, Warframes are basically different classes, each is better at some things and not so good at others. As to Warframes being characters, what is there to support that? I've seen no stories at all about the Tenno inside the Warframe. All I know is the name of the type of Warframe, such as the Frost model Warframe, the Nyx Model, etc. They're just suites of armor with no personalty, the person inside is next to non-existent. Hell, Weapons have more of a story than the Warframes "character." It's also hard to say they're unique when I've seen 4 of the same in one game. Unless this want's to go L4D style, then I see no uniqueness or character at all to these Warframes. The whole argument for why there can't be both genders for a suite of armor just baffles me. All the color customization and other such things are so great, but the most basic customization option ever cannot be done. If they're unique characters, then why can I choose what weapons they have and what colors they are? Warframes show no character at all, they're just powerarmor with someone inside, someone that's only referred to as "Tenno." Even a description to the game that I've read addresses the Warframe/Tenno as "You" instead of by "Tenno" or some other name. Nothing in this game supports the idea of Warframes being unique characters. Also, as far as I'm concerned, they are classes. Frost/Rhino = Tank Trinity = Healer Everyone else = DPS (as far as I know) Oh, plus, they all have their unique abilities, just like different classes usually do. Just look at the description for this UNIQUE NONMMOCLASS Warframe "TRINITY is great for players who prefer a supportive role. Warframes with healing technology are rare making Trinity a great equalizer when the odds are stacked against the Tenno." https://warframe.com/game/warframes Look at that class line-up, such detailed Character descriptions, such unique personalities. Though don't get me wrong, I do love this game. Oh, and need I say that the Devs could make more profit if they'd stop genderlocking these characterless Warframes? Why do some people get so offended if a Warframe is called a class, or at the idea of a gender change? Need I say that you also play with your own name, if someone looks at me they see "Spectre118" not the Warframes name or anything else. If you see any flaws, point them out, I didn't proofread, otherwise have fun showing me how they're unique characters.
Jovovich
Maybe you should have posted this on Warframe Feedback, i would like more "uniqueness" behind the frames. Edited July 25, 2013 by Jovovich
Frostmire
What make each warframe unique are their " press this button to win " skills
Arlayn
There cannot be more (edit: one of the same) its impossible. These are hero characters. Want proof? Hayden had powers before the Armor... Therefore the Armor is just an interface system to allow Tenno to user their powers more easily, or better. The armor means absolutely nothing. Its the Tenno inside that has all the powers. The armor just compliments them. So no you cannot have a male, and female version of the same tenno with the same powers. Even Hayden had multiple powers even if they were the same like Invisibility like Loki (identical if you have seen it) He had other abilities no other Tenno has. So even if he wore Excalibur prototype armor. He is not Excalibur, he is Hayden... he is the Hayden Warframe. zombaio
Everyone else = DPS (as far as I know) All due respect sir, but apparently you don't know sh*t. That can be easily proven by taking a brief look at Loki, Nyx, Vauban and Banshee.

Kazris
Why do some people get so offended if a Warframe is called a class, or at the idea of a gender change? Why do some people get so offended at the lack of gender change? Because people are dumb and get offended dumb things. Steve has stated repeatedly there will be no gender change option. The closest we'll get is alt gender versions of existing themes. Considering how set in stone Steve seems to be about this subject arguing about it is a waste of time. Lumireaver
"Trinity is great for players who prefer a supportive role. Warframes with healing technologies are rare making Trinity a great equalizer when the odds are stacked against the Tenno." I'm reading this as: "Trinity is nice gal who uses rare tech, so bring her along with you if you're looking for an edge in combat. Elsewise you won't find no one like her." ...So I don't see where you're going with that.

SirMelf
I completely agree with the OP. Just wanted to say that. Even Hayden had multiple powers even if they were the same like Invisibility like Loki (identical if you have seen it) He had other abilities no other Tenno has. So even if he wore Excalibur prototype armor. He is not Excalibur, he is Hayden... he is the Hayden Warframe. So... Frost and Frost Prime? Mind explaining that? Also Warframe is a WWI or WWII name for an experimental exoskeleton.
Letter13
I'm just sort of bracing myself for the one person who posts a comment about how Saryn/Nyx/Nova are unique because of their asses. Oh wait. That's me.
Ced23Ric
Has been answered by DE animators and artists. Gender switches are not coming. If there are opposing gender takes on existing themes, such as a male fire 'frame, they will have their own set of abilities. Think Ember & Blaze, Frost & Hypothermia, Nyx & Turmoil, Rhino & Mammoth, Banshee & Distortion, etc. pp. The community is largely in favour of a switch, but a good chunk defends DE's decision. Regardless, this is a dead horse that doesn't reqquire further beating. Locking this.
