Leriel
What's your opinion on this weapon? Do you think it needs to get a rework/balance/buff? Quoted from the Warframe Wiki: I did some testing and here is what I found: Normal Attack: 35 Slashing +4 Poison, Stagger Dash Attack: 75 Slashing +8 Poison, Stagger Leap Strike: 25 FLAT Armor Ignore +3 Poison (can do double damage), 35 Slashing +4 Poison, Stagger Charge Attack: 75 Charge +8 Poison, NO Stagger Execute: 75 Charge +8 Poison, Can headshot (especially MOAs) All attack values labeled with SLASHING do 3x damage to light Infested and only 50% to medium Grineer. Attack values labeled with CHARGE do armor ignoring damage and are increased with the charge damage mod, killing blow. The poison damage can be increased with pressure point for slashing damage and killing blow for charge damage. Poison damage is calculated as 10% of the weapon damage done before elementals. All attacks except leap strike are single target. This weapon scores headshots surprisingly often on MOAs, Corpus humanoids, and light Infested humanoids. You can score headshots easily on MOAs by staggering them, then circling behind them and attacking their control box (triple damage). Made easy with frost applied. The leap strike deals FLAT armor ignoring damage (cannot be increased so far that I've seen) and poison damage in a large cone in front of you and slightly behind you as well. It will also deal slashing damage around the point of impact and an extra +4 poison damage. It will not apply a second set of elemental damage though. Only the flat damage portion applies elemental mods, and the elemental mod damage for leap strikes is calculated with this flat damage value. The leap strike only staggers units hit by the slashing damage near the point of impact. All attack types except charge attacks will stagger most enemies including ancients. Leap strike is useful for killing/slowing shield osprey due to its large height range. It can also hit enemies standing above you on a ledge and enemies on the other side of a wall. The double damage zone of the leap strike is around the edges of the cone rather than at the center. TL;DR. It has an ok leap strike for slowing multiple targets, but it won't be very useful as a good source of damage on higher level missions outside of infested missions. Even then, it struggles to deal with more than one ancient at a time. A rapid fire, armor piercing/ignoring weapon will probably be needed to deal with ancients if you choose this weapon. In my opinion, DE needs to rework the poison damage on Mire Sword, maybe let it do DoT damage or allow mods to affect poison damage dealt by Mire Sword.
