[Nova] Which Weapons Work With Antimatterdrop, I.e. Laser.

Question

I see most Nova's using the Spectra sidearm for their AMD multiplier, and I'm wondering if that's the best option, considering my Despair/Kunai are my strongest weapons.

Does the Dera do the job as well?  What about Flux Rifle, which lists that it has Serrated Damage, not Laser Damage, despite being a fricking laser beam.  My clan JUST opened up all these research options, and I don't know which to vote for.

Thanks!

I can't answer for the other weapons you asked about, but I say that Despair/Kunai are already quite a good choice. However, another I think is really good is Acrid.

The problem you may have with Acrid is if you don't like the looks of it, and the fact that it's semi-auto (you can change "shooting" to scroll-up/scroll-down to simulate a full-auto though, I think).

I should have been more clear.  Thanks for the tips!

I'm actually just wondering what qualifies as a "Laser Damage" weapon, which multiplies up to 4x for Antimatter Drop on Nova.  I would have thought the Flux Rifle was obviously one, but apparently it's a "Serration Damage" weapon.  Is this really just referring to the Dera and Spectra?

I think you misunderstand.  It doesn't accept only laser type damage.  It takes any damage that hits it, and the explosion does laser type damage.  And the Despair is usually your best choice in this case.

Oh, that's bloody wonderful!  I thought it redirected the damage it had taken, and redirected 1/2/3/4x damage if it was Laser specifically.  So it's even better than I thought!  I appreciate this, I had no place for a laser weapon in my ideal loadouts.

Whatever has the highest DPS, but according to the wiki it converts all the damage it absorbs into laser damage, which is non-armor ignore.  So loading it up with 1000 armor piercing yields the same result as 1000 bullet damage (or any damage type).

My experience confirms that it's damage type is not armor ignore, it cleans up trash mobs well enough but against ancients and heavies you're better off putting the AP damage on target.
