Quick Thoughts About Seer Weapon

I had the Seer a little over a week now, I have used forma on it 2x and I have a few thoughts now that I have played with the weapon for a bit.

First off I like to say that I love the weapon, it looks amazing(wish it sounded a little more powerful) and has reasonably good stats, now for the things I feel the weapon is lacking,

1.) The hit-box for the weapon seems to be a bit buggy and doesn't always register a hit/connect.

3.) I read that the weapon is suppose to have innate puncture but I have never seen it hit more then one target, won't even go though a shield lancer's shield.

2.) The zoom seems to be pitched as a pro but I feel its more of a con with the hit-box being buggy and on top of that with the projectiles travel time, it makes sniping less satisfying then with a standard sniper or the latron, even weapons like the lex are more satisfying for long range kills, and it makes mid to close range slightly more difficult, as to were most weapons with travel time would shine, I think a simple fix would be to remove the zoom(as we have a mod now that can add it) or two reduce it.

The zoom is really annoying.  While the seer is listed as a scoped pistol, the zoom really hampers the weapons effectiveness in close range and the bullets travel time reduces the weapons effectiveness at long range.  The seer's role seems confusing.

If the seer is supposed to be a sniper pistol, then DE should make it a hitscan weapon (aka no bullet travel time).

If the seer is supposed to be used in close-medium range, then DE should get rid of the scope.

If the seer is supposed to be a elite-only/skill-based weapon, then DE should increase the damage to 100 but leave the zoom and bullet travel time.

I agree, the zoom does make the weapon feel like a contradiction on what its role is suppose to be.

I think they should make scopes togglable with the use key.  Would make them actually a handy utility instead of mostly being a hindrance, and would also make scope mods like hawkeye more appealing.

Snipers could maybe switch between full and partial zoom instead of toggling the scope entirely to keep them from being TOO comfy at closer ranges.

I completely agree, and most of the maps/levels in this game feel like they weren't meant for zoom weapons, zoom style weapons feel more circumstantial then anything.

Seer probably needs the following:

1) Better hitbox detection

2) Adjustable scope (it's a possibility, given how Orokin technology's so advanced)

3) Critical chance, AOE, better damage type, and/or more base damage (don't make the projectiles so misleading in appearance and/or make it become an actual upgrade over the Lex)

Honestly, if they would just re-work the zoom or remove it, I would be pretty happy with the weapon and could overlook its other short comings.
