No Man Left Behind?

Upon playing various missions with random players online I couldn't help, but to notice that a rather large amount of players rush to the end once the objective is completed, often leaving newer players in the dust to lose the mission from not making it to extraction.

Opinions: Do you mad dash for the end? Or do you leave no man behind?

I participate in the mad dash with the rest of the group, but I try to always bring up the rear. I'll hold doors for people and show them the route through complex parkour chambers. No, I am not Canadian. I also try to run interference when we're all scrambling to GTFO.

I like loot.  That's all there is to it.  So I'm willing to hang back and break some Crewmen open for EXP.  But if you take more than 15-30 seconds to get to an elevator while the rest of us wait, I'm heading out.  But I'm a break open every container kind of guy.

Its extremely annoying if you are destroying 4 machines and 3 people go in one direction (EW OH GOD I SAID THAT HORRIFIC BAND) and you go the other, you destroy 3, they destroy 1 but are right next to the exit, so they ditch you.

I give others a reasonable amount of time to get to extraction. Sometimes I've waited 5 minutes and still there's one guy who doesn't show up and that's pretty much my limit where I start the countdown. I even backtrack to see if I can help out. But yeah, there's a limit to my patience.

I don't think that getting left behind and not making it to extraction loses the mission. I think it just doesn't give you bonus credits.

Sometimes when destroying the core it will show a timer and if everyone doesn't make it to the extraction before the timer ends you fail the mission.

If you don't get to extraction, you only have a chance of not getting credits.  Not sure what triggers it or if it is just randomly not working right, but you can get the credits some of the time when you were not near extraction.  As for anything else, mission completion, mods, mission reward, or anything, you get it as long as someone did extract.

You can even have died, not revived and waited for the other people to finish and you will get the mission reward, xp, and the mission completion.

It's just a chance that you don't get the credits if you didn't actually walk into extraction.  So nothing is lost.

As for the people that leave people behind, it's not too bad.  Experienced players can keep up or just don't care and will let those players end up waiting the whole minute for extraction.

For me, I usually will work with the rest of the group, so if everyone is heading for extraction, I won't go exploring.  I won't rush though so I sometimes fall back to take on enemies and rooms while people just ditch.

The only truly annoying part are the people that feel they have to place waypoints because obviously there isn't a waypoint already on the exit.  When they get impatient, I go exploring with whatever time I have left.  It does get fun though when 2 people are following me and there is one impatient rusher waiting at the exit constantly laying waypoints and trying to act as if we are not teamplayers for not going to the exit instantly.
