LordMidnightX
OK so if I am sniping or using ogris or torid and can kill waves before they really get in XP range is this being a defense hero? I mean when I do this some people have gotten mad or started leaving the pod to go get kills because I am killing them before they can.
EagleRise
if you do this then they get no EXP. I would get angry too.

Hayden11121
Are you denying players of experience? Are you killing them from further away? Those two questions, if answered yes, should answer your question thoroughly.
MangoMonkey
I think that the XP comes from the frame itself, not the enemy you kill. If you fire the sniper bullet that kills an enemy, you get the XP and anyone in a radius around you gets the XP. Hybridon
No you aint, but let them get a bit closer just in case so drops dont fall too far away, maybe kill them at choke points while standing close to the pod with that sniper/ogris/torid :) As stated, exp is shared upon your radius, and not from where the enemy was killed. THose people are just butthurt ;x Edited July 25, 2013 by Hybridon
Arlayn
Defense heros is where its at... When you defense hero your number one... just remember that song from Bleach that is Ichigos theme song better yet play the song while your being defense hero... You really will feel like number one while you mass kill everything as rhino, Volt, Ember, Frost, etc... or with your amazing weapons such as the Ogris... in a beautiful awesome show... Remember Defense Heros are surrounded by beautiful women who also go Defense Hero... or beautiful men if your into that kind of that thing... and the more kills you make the more eyes you have on you because your THAT AMAZING!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c1WITKcW0w Remember its about surviving as far as possible, collecting loot, getting a reward at the end of the waves... and that's it... EXP is something earned on the side and gets better further down the line... besides its not impossible for you to leave your spot and join the fun... Unless your Vauban... RagDollRat
i find players with ogris tend to be bossy entitles snobs who freak when people are not doing what they tell them to do or maybe ive just had a rather bad amount of runs on xini the amount of people who use ogris and dont defend the pod is TOO DAMN HIGH! Arlayn
Hey look, guys. It's one of this years candidates for the "worst and most clueless player in the game" award.. People can be defense heros and protect the pod at the same time. I do it... I run by the pod use my stretched overload kill the enemies on the pod and move on, a Rhino can do the same have the enemies in mid air and have all the defense heros snipe them from their positions far far away from the pod... MangoMonkey
Can? Yes. Should? No.There is literally nothing better about doing what you do. You can kill them just as efficiently next to the pod as you can in the hallways, while grouping up allows players to combine their damage and to immediately react to threats to the pod. You share XP, the loot drops closer, everyone wins. There is, quite genuinely, not a single-reason beyond being a terrible team player, to defense hero away from it. Or die... the corpus can snipe too... did you know that? Have you seen it? I have... they go up high, or across the room... shoot the pod till it dies out of the range of your ultimate even if stretch on. Your better off going to them first before they get to you. Best defense is a good offense as they say... In this case it works. It seems we disagree on this though. I know it works because I have done it, and it works... we do good and everyone is happy... because TONS OF LOOT!!! and that is all that needs to be discussed... BECAUSE XINI... and the RAREST MATERIAL IN THE GAME!!! PLASTIDS!!!! Is all the words I need to see on my screen... not level up... but PLASTIDS!!!! Me.KayOh
leaving the pod to go get kills because I am killing them before they can. this is the most annoying thing imo. Especially when you're a Nova and other ppl realize that. They go waay out in the lane to get kills before you do. I've seen frosts, rhinos and vaubans do this. and of course, other Novas....so, you're at the pod, and they're off killing everything on the end of the map. If all they are concerned about is their number of kills, I do believe that they should play solo. I have no problem with Ogris uses who are at the pod; in fact, it helps me rank up my primary if they are there cuz they get more kills and more xp and thus, more xp shared. :S I suppose if you make an ability such as Molecular Prime, you're always gonna have players who spam the crap out of it. So I wouldn't say its DE's fault, since Nova is the design Council's warframe. My best bet is to hope that you get players for defense who understand XP sharing. Or do a premade squad with some cool friends or clan members.

And if your aim is so bad you can't shoot a sniper on the defense maps we have, I suggest you re-evaluate how you play the game.

Mythblaze
I don't play with random people. Those people tend to be slow and useless. I only play with people from the clan or I solo. 99% of the population is not able to keep up with me. >.>

And if your aim is so bad you can't shoot a sniper on the defense maps we have, I suggest you re-evaluate how you play the game. Oh I can hit them... not with sniper that needs a serious fix and a real scope added... I can snipe them with the best more perfectly accurate and epic gun in the game... the Lato Prime... Which I modded the heck out of to rock the Snipertrons boots... if it had any... I could kill them with the pistol all day long... The problem occurs when they gang up and fill in the path ways then murder you because too many disruptors, and healers is too many and overwhelming even Frost can't take them... and if were all dead all over the damn pod then who is protecting the pod? our carcass? At least if we did die far away from the Pod and waited to respawn within that time we could respawn and run back to the pod before the enemies reach it and stop them a second time instead of dying at the pod and allowing the enemies to destroy the pod while we wait to respawn... I don't care if you have ogris, frost, Vauban.... NONE OF THEM ARE THAT HELPFUL!!! I have done TONS OF RUNS if they were as helpful as they say while I stayed next to the pod then I would be totally anti-defense hero but as I have seen it its the WORST IDEA!!! ever invented by the human mind to stay next to the pod the ENTIRE TIME when your team DESPERTLY NEEDS A DISTRACTION MOST TO BUY THEM TIME!!! Sixty5
When using the Ogris, I like to thin out waves by hitting enemies at chokepoints. Sure some people may loose out on a bit of XP, but loosing the game causes everyone to loose all bonus XP as well as mods, resources and credits. So I say go for it. As long as you aren't burdening your team you are doing nothing wrong.
