The Frost Powers Must Be Stronger.

Hi, i am an argentinian player then sorry if I have some mistakes tipping.

   I was playing with Frost and I liked it too much, but when i have to kill some enemyes with a power i can't kill them because of my powers ( I am using the storm helmet with the mod approach at + 40%). I fell well with this because the powers are good but not strong... we can see the Rhino stump that kill you in an instant, it's just a stump it has no sense ( with frost i have spikes and avalanches). I think i am not the only player that think that, thanks for reading. Coment please  : D

You should understand that not all ult are instant killing panic mode buttons. Frost only needs some changes, but it is not damage related. Some powers deal more damage, while others have more crowdcontrol. Try playing Loki and you will see what is real "no damage" ult.

Answer to RoboDog: I know that about Loki, but his powers don't try to do damage. I know that Frost put the environment at his will, but it has too powers that take too much energi for the damage they do.

Try maxing Streamline, Flow, Continuity and Focus mods for Frost. Streamline reduces energy cost, Flow increases max energy, Focus increase power strenght and Continuity increases power duration. It helps, Frost is kinda boring frame to play, but he have some strong powers. Not everything is about dmg.

Frosts damage skills are a bit on the weak side I'll admit, however they ALL inflict slow or flat out freeze which makes them wonderful, not to mention none require Line of Sight to work, meaning you can debuff through the walls. Launch a couple of ice pillars, gun them down before they can run away

Snowglobe is fine, but Frost's 1 is useless (it's bad utility AND bad damage at any level), his 2 is nice but I feel like Ice Wave should shoot up out of the ground but STAY up and damage any enemies that move over it. Same damage, but instead of moving in a wave, it is a bit more persistent. Would do its damage per level per tick (one per second and it lasts, let's say, 3-4 seconds?).

 

I'd also make his ultimate act as it does in the dojo dueling arena, where he does the animation, and then the enemies freeze AFTERWARDS for like 5-6 seconds. Right now, Rhino's ult is far better at CC since, not only does it do higher damage (due to armor ignore), it also keeps the enemies suspended up in the air and has twice the range that Avalanche has (20 meters versus 10 meters)

Ok, i like your idea about the 2 power. Just one thing, you can use the 1 power to freeze a very powerfull enemy that is killing you and scape or find cover, i have that power at the maximum then, for the experience, i can say that it gives you too much time to think : D

Freeze is okay for solo play, if you need to put someone out of commission and you don't think your sentinel will hit its health, but if you have any sort of AoE and are actively using it (Torrid, Ogris) or are with other people, it's pretty terrible due to it being removed by the enemy taking health damage.

Of course, but i usually play in private talking in skype or teamspeaker.

Freeze actually freezes? Instead of thaws all off when the first bullet touches it.

 

Ice wave should be an AOE freeze, instead of applying a 2 second slowdown thats entirely useless

 

Avalance should be a MASS AOE FREEZE + DAMAGE, instead of being absolutely nothing. Seriously, its not CC. All the mobs are still standing there when its done., they're not frozen, their sheilds areo nly slightly hurt.

Sorry, what??? How exactly are you using Freeze and Ice Wave through walls??

Most definitely agreed with this. Either make Ice Wave a persistent path that slows enemies and also does tick damage, or make it freeze them. His Freeze needs to be reworked if Ice Wave is made to freeze people in an AoE since, why use Freeze then? (it probably needs a rework anyway)

This is a problem for most frames currently. The armor system is the problem, not Frost's powers. If they are going to fix anything, it should be how armor scales, not making an already good frame better when there are frames that are in desperate need of a buff, such as Volt and Mag.

I'll post my Frost suggestions again.

 

Freeze: Either make the target invincible so that it doesn't break or just let damage go through already. Either way, reduce duration on bosses to curtail trolling/brokenness.

 

Ice Wave: This thing needs to come out MUCH FASTER than it currently does, since it's very positioning based. Also, it should chill and stun enemies and maybe even knock them down. Current damage is okay.

 

Snow Globe: Increase duration with levels so we have a reason to level it? Otherwise it's fine.

 

Avalanche: Enemies should come out of it chilled and stunned. Or, make it an ice based low damage World on Fire clone.

Frost should work as a defensive control specialist.

 

Freeze: Freezes targets for 5s when maxed, frozen targets take 1.5x damage. Frozen targets no longer thaw when shot. Targets that die under 'frozen' status explode, slowing enemies in a 5m range for 5s.

 

Icewave: Slows targets for 10s, keeps damage component.

 

Snowglobe: fine as is

 

Avalanche: Damages and freezes targets in a radius, freezing enemies for 7s. Basically functioning as a large scale freeze.

 

These changes would make Frost a more useful defensive support frame who can slow groups of enemies and boost damage output, while providing cover for the team when things get too rough. More importantly, they would still be useful in high level content due to slow and damage multipliers.
