EdwinLi
it is not complex Kill = more exp from kill while party members only get a small fraction depending on contribution Bonus exp is determined by your contribution in the stage. The more you contribute the better the exp reward at the end after completing the stage. Edited July 26, 2013 by EdwinLi
Shion963
AFAIK XP from kills are distributed to anyone within a certain radius around you at the moment an enemy dies. You can split up somewhat and still get XP from your teammates' kills, but only if you stay within this radius. As long as you can see the XP numbers from their kills pop up over the dead enemy, you're golden. Stray far enough, and eventually you won't see the numbers. That means you didn't get XP for that kill. Kill = more exp from kill while party members only get a small fraction depending on contribution This is false, that kind of distribution would encourage "kill rushing/stealing", or "defense heroes". Not exactly good for team cohesion when everyone wants the biggest slice of the pie. A teammate who delivered the kill shot gets 72xp for their gun/pistol, andy anyone within the radius will also get 72xp each spread across their equipment. Whenever any member of the team kills an enemy, that member's teammates will still gain experience from that kill. This experience is divided equally among their Warframe and weapons. For example, if your teammate kills an enemy that gives 1000 experience, you (and their other teammates) would receive 250 experience for their warframe, rifle, pistol and melee weapon. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Experience_Mechanics Edited July 26, 2013 by Shion963

I'll keep that in mind. :)
GratuitousLurking
Least in single player, Bonus EXP seems to be a small percent of the totals of everything you used that mission. It seems more liniar over the entire squad though, as if squad's actions equate a baseline and then your weapon/frame effects bonuses kick in from there. Just a minor observation. Ventias
in all fairness no one knows. All what we could provide you with is theories. One thing is for certain though, there is a limited shared exp range.

I'll keep that in mind. :) IMHO, Warframe has a good grasp on keeping team cohesion.Everyone gets the same XP if they stick together, but if you wanna level one specific weapon you'll have to use it to the best of its abilities and get some kills. No one crying fouls because of Killsteals. There is the problem of folks joining games specifically to leech. But they're levelling their new weapons at 1/4th the speed than they would be if they actually went out and killed something anyway.

No one crying fouls because of Killsteals. To be honest that depends on what weapon :P If its a weapon I just cant stand and do not have fun using I will just go kappa and let the other guys level that gun for me while I use my other weapons I have equipped :P Edited July 26, 2013 by Gh0st_Slay3r

Not exactly good for team cohesion when everyone wants the biggest slice of the pie. and whats the problem? i have yet to run into a game where team work was needed(nice and sometimes makes things easier, but not neeeded) most of the time, the job gets with everybody doing whatever the hell they are doing as long as it contributes to finishing the mission... there are sometimes where teamwork is obviously needed, such rare rare rare times, luckily such things are hardwared into the gamers head already... such as opening doors requiring 2 buttons be click simultaneously

Most times I'll try using it as much as possible, though. ;p and whats the problem? i have yet to run into a game where team work was needed(nice and sometimes makes things easier, but not neeeded) most of the time, the job gets with everybody doing whatever the hell they are doing as long as it contributes to finishing the mission... there are sometimes where teamwork is obviously needed, such rare rare rare times, luckily such things are hardwared into the gamers head already... such as opening doors requiring 2 buttons be click simultaneously The problem isn't that the enemies are difficult to kill or whatever, but players' mindset. It doesn't exactly convey co-op when everyone's off doing one part of the level, in fear that the other three people in their team are going to steal their precious, precious kills. There are a lot of competitive games with competitive players. Warframe doesn't have to be one of them. Edited July 26, 2013 by Shion963
IronRushBR
XP distribution is very good on this game. Forcing players to stick together. EXAMPLE ONLY: Player 1 kills a target with their rifle that grants 120 Affinity. The following occurs:Players 1-4 gain all 120 Affinity to their Warframe. Player 1 gets 120 Affinity to their rifle only. (Nothing is granted to Player 1's pistol or melee for that kill.) Players 2-4 gain 40 Affinity to each weapon (3 weapons divided by 120 Affinity = 40 Affinity each). This occurs for each kill in the game. So if Player 3 gets a pistol kill, he gains all the Affinity for his pistol (and Warframe), but Players 1, 2, & 4 get split Affinity for all of their weapons (but still max for their Warframes). The only condition is: you need to be in certain range of the kill. You need stick together with the team.
