CapricaSix
It's as the title suggests. I had just completed my 10th mastery rank test and changed from Nova to Loki, then I got this when I attempted to go to Venus: It wasn't so much that the missions were invisible, but rather the planets themselves were the missions, and naturally nobody would join me like that of course. Restarting the game fixed it.
Kracken
i would say that not planets appearing as missions but all missions just disappear (planet names from solar system view to) (unable to go in) - i get that a lot mainly while i want to go to a alert mission (going in and out of lobby). soft restart/relogin of the game or doing a mission helps (while you cant get in in normal way you have to get in one join someone from contact list or get an invitation) . i'm at mastery lvl 7 but i encountered it even on lvl 6 so mastery lvl don't have anything to do it whit hit Edited July 26, 2013 by Cracken

I wasn't trying to get into an alert either, just clicked Venus and boom, nothing.
Dataz
I have solar system screen messed up very often. Most common thing is that I see central part of whole solar system and can't move screen to select far positioned planets like Eris. It's worth to mention that along with that, I can't see orbits on which planets rotate.

Several people have reported it ages ago, it's yet to be fixed. I'm on a 5:4 monitor myself, I often can't see Eris because of it...
