Gigatron-Prime Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I just got disconnected for standing still on a DEF mission. I thought it was strange so I test it again and go AFK in another DEF right after. Sure enough I get kicked from the mission. Did DE deploy a stealth Anti-AFK system? If they did, they seriously need to redo it. I don't even have time to take a piss anymore, and I don't want to die like that one lady who held her pee for a Wii.
Enki_EA Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 why are you using the bathroom during a defense mission when your team needs you protecting the pod?
junkion Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 you deserve to get kicked if you wait to use the bathroom while doing defense.
Gigatron-Prime Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 you deserve to get kicked if you wait to use the bathroom while doing defense. Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see.
HellEnforcer Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I think that has been around for quite a while. I remember a few months ago doing a Jackal run and one of the teammates being AFK from the very start of the game... The thing is that the Jackal would not activate until all of us were on the room. After a while the AFK guy either logged off or got kicked out. I always thought that the AFK auto kick was there for some reason. That being said. Being AFK on a defense mission should NOT be done unless you are with a premade team and they are aware of it. I won't point finger or anything since I have no clue whatsoever on the circumstances of your situation at that time.
Fenrir5566 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Get a wireless keyboard and press the power buttons while S#&$ting ... while ocassionaly pressing one of the movement keys ... or get an old shoe for emergency evacuations
Hiraldo Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 If I have to AFK in a defense mission, here's what I do: 1.) Tell my team beforehand. Tenno are good people and they understand (usually) 2.) I have macros set to the exact duration of Bastille and Snowglobe, so I turn those on to automatically help my team at least a little bit. Dethcubes don't hurt either. 3.) Run like hell to that bathroom Back on topic (sort of), I once had to AFK for quite a while between rounds 26-30 on OT. My team was fine with it, and when I got back they informed me that the only other frost had been downed and my auto Snowglobe saved the day :D I was easily gone for 10 minutes and I wasn't kicked, nor was I hosting.
Micotaru Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) You uh... might want to delete this. Macros can get you banned, IIRC. Edited July 26, 2013 by Okai85
Qynchou Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 One of those rare instances with a decent title but completely garbage thread content. Stop polluting GD please. Thanks.
Ced23Ric Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 You uh... might want to delete this. Macros can get you banned, IIRC. Hoax. Macros are explicitly allowed. Steve himself said that DE will not go after macro users and actually made changes for macros to be used with ease and still maintain some fairness, such as with the singleshot pistols. Anyone who states something else is making things up or repeats hearsay.

sk0m Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) I'm glad you got kicked and I hope others will too. They should also get a kick system for those who like to camp in the furthest parts of the map. Edited July 26, 2013 by sk0m

I don't even have time to take a &!$$ anymore, and I don't want to die like that one lady who held her pee for a Wii. Wat is stealth Anti-AFK?
Rengakun Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Wat is stealth Anti-AFK? I dunno. Maybe it is an Anti-AFK that sneaks up to you like a ninja (Using ECM [OHGAWDLOWSIGNALWHYWHYWHYWHYHELPMENOOOOOOO])? 'Stealth' in those words is an adjective. I... can't make any deductions now...

archiadus Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 soooo what happens when u run outa energy? The vauban build I use is so energy efficient that aslong as I have atleast 2 others with max energy siphon equipped I'll regenerate atleast 97% of my energy used for bastille by the time it ends. No need to worry about running out of energy ^^

Ced23Ric Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Can you elaborate on the singleshot pistols part? I'd like to know more about restrictions there. It's really simple - they adjusted the fire rate and reclick rates of guns like the Akbolto and Aklato. Nothing fancy, just brought them back in line with the rest, to keep them macro-friendly, instead of abusively fast if macro'd.

Thanks, I use a macro for Lato Vandal, so I was wondering if it's okay. :)
Ced23Ric Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Thanks, I use a macro for Lato Vandal, so I was wondering if it's okay. :) You can go right ahead and do that. Macros are, like I said, completely fine to use.
archiadus Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 2 others.... im not a fan of being reliant on my team... especially when you are the frame everyone is suppose to be relying on... lol Well you know it is a team game and energy siphon is most likely the most used aura there is...
