Mission Failed

Its happening more often and often since the new players and farmers arrived... We raid the boss and if it doesnt drop BP or needed resource,ppl just abort the mission and all my mods/res collected till that moment r gone...
So what are your experiences and do u think that they should change this that when host aborts mission to triger host migration to another player instead of you just failing the mission?

It really starts to piss me off...

Solo/private play is your best bet.

 

 

This is what I do and have done 100% of the time.  Seems like overkill for this game to have 4 players packed into it at once.  1 or 2 is perfect IMHO

 

I also do a lot of solo missions... but sometimes it just gets 2 bored doing everything alone...

And it seems that games does drop much more stuff when u r playing with other pps instead of going alone.

 

Yeah except T3 M.Def/Def missions everything is pretty much soloable...

I've recently failed a lot of mobile defenses and normal defenses without enemies attacking or even being near the objective. It's happened in solo games and while being either a host or a client in online games.

Yeah except T3 M.Def/Def missions everything is pretty much soloable...

Farming is boring as hell and people only prologue it because they have to kill everything before them and the boss takes twice as long to kill.

 

This is why is takes people hours to get what they want. They are far too busy chatting and killing everything and taking too long to kill the boss.

Perhaps if they add a new matchmaking option so you can set a limit on the quit rate... then people who quit or fail more than 5% of their missions won't be able to join you...

Well that's stupid....People quitting or leaving you to fight the swarms they rush past has an effect on that %.

Personally, I don't think private/friend/solo are good solutions.

Game design should force the player to finish the objective and get to extraction. There are no other alternatives, imo. Problem with the current method is the fact that when the host doesn't see anything dropped from the boss, he quits. Leaving his teammates to their fate within the Host migration abyss.

A permanent solution should be giving BP as end of mission reward instead of drop. If you don't get to extraction, you won't know whether you get it or not. Simple solution.

Agree,put a chance of i dunno... 12-15% of getting that rare resource or BP upon mission completition

IIRC in one of the livestreams, they wanted the feeling of boss farming that the usual MMO has where you get the reward immediately after the boss dies. There's actually a study about this where players felt they were rewarded far more when they saw the boss physically drop an item rather than getting it at the end of a mission.

And thats y,when boss drops nothing they instantly leave...

So one solution takes to another problem.
