Game crashes immediately after I hit 'launch'

After the latest hot fix I can no longer launch the game. I have verified and optimised and nothing. I have even tried running it in windowed mode which used to work but the window just appears white then crashes. I have nothing else running except for steam and anti virus.

Same here, ever since I updated to PoE I can't make it past the PLAY button. It crashes right after that, claiming an internal error of sorts. When will I be able to play? Heck, FIX THIS!

Even after the several hot fixes and updates, my evolution engine just stops working. 

does this have to do something with windows 10?

Its nothing to do with Windows 10, Im on Windows 7 and it has happened to me 2 times already, i have verified cache and optimised files. it has done absolutely nothing to help me here and its really pissing me off that a special event has come around and the game is unplayable for me, The 1st time this happened was over a week ago and i had to wait 4 days for some S#&$ to happen with the launcher so i could bloody update it and play, Now that its happened again, im tempted to uniinstall and free up that 80GB from my HDD, This is clearly a regular issue and with the game being over 4 years old and they cannot even make the damned game launch properly, it makes me feel that the Dev's heads are up in the air and their priorities are completely out of order. Fix known issues so that the game is damned playable> Optimise the game for most systems so that the game doesnt crash> Teach the developers to stop making so many issues arise in small hotfixes> THEN MAKE NEW CONTENT WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Error Code: WAR-1542054
