Cyrillic -k- and -m- letters get substituted with their latin counterparts

When I type them in chat, they look normal. They only switch after the message was sent. A friend of mine says he does see this on his side, but when he sends a message everything looks OK.

I never used any kind of language switchers and never experienced such bugs before.

Edit:

BTW, if this matters, I'm using Windows 10 x64-bit, version 1607. Might have happened after I upgraded from the previous windows release (I thought about it when people reported about having performance issues with the Fall Creators Update).

Ok, I have upgraded to the latest build of win10 version 1709, all updates are installed, fresh launcher and client downloaded. The issue persists. What can be wrong here?

Through research, I found that this bug only happens with English localization. Other languages (excluding Polish and Asian ones, that don't even have Cyrillic) send the letters as they have to look like.
