there is no special way.

Just do defense missions. I usually do Xini, but mainly because you get a ton of mods, you don't get as many fusion cores as other things like warframe powers.

difficulty 5 mobile defence (for example Kappa (Sedna) ) tend to drop a lot of mods, so there's a relatively nice chance of finding cores if you run it a number of times. and since it's an endless defence, the mobs stay at ~lv30, making it more doable than endless defence spam imo

ye, but like I said, a difficulty 5 one. difficulty indicates the amount of mobs you're facing, and the more mobs = the more drops

I tend to get a lot of Fusion cores from void. Especially rare 5s :o

I get a lot in Corpus defense.

 

Infested defense gives some too, but I tend to get a lot more worthless ability mods

Grineer tend to drop most fusion cores, so kappa.
